Blue Mash Golf Course
Played On 08/05/2023Making me blue Blue Mash
Recently purchased by the Kemper Group, and a 20% increase in green fees soon followed
It may be that since I’ve played here so often that it seems to be a bit steep compared to surrounding green fees, but at least it now includes a small bucket.
There was a 1/2 hour fog delay so things got bunched up but to their credit, they kept it moving as best they could but still came out to a five hour round.
All the groups we could see never seemed out of position and everyone played at a fast as pace would allow
My suggestion for the team would to rotate the grass more frequently as even with a mid morning tee time, the grass between the ropes was mostly dirt, and a very large portion of the remaining range is lost to disease so maybe need to bring the mats back until they can recover
The course itself is in really good shape, greens rolling nicely save for the losers who won’t fix their ball marks. Golf’s recent uptick in popularity seems to coincide with new players who don’t understand the importance of this small task
Overall, always enjoy the course but may not play as often as the fee increase just feels to high to me

Blue Mash always provides a fair test.
Choose your tees wisely, trying to man up will only bring you pain. A fun course from the right tees.
820 tee time and still finished in four hours and 15 minutes.
One of the better practice areas in the region, with grass tears allowing for a proper warm-up. Separate putting in short game area make sure you are ready to go

Always a fair test, be honest about which tee box you should play from, course will bite you if you don't. They keep it in great condition, for some reason, No One fixes their ball marks, but nothing the course can do about that, so the rest of us are tasked with fixing our own plus several more.
Only complaint, please include a small bucket of balls with greens fees, or make them part of the cost. Sending players out who haven't warmed up only hurts pace of play for everyone.
Bear Trap Dunes Golf Club - Grizzly/Kodiak Course
Played On 11/27/2021Very Cold but beautiful
We played in late November, hi 30's with a very stiff, constant wind. Only two tee box options and the greens were punched, but you could still see how this place must be good during better weather.
Look forward to getting to play it again when are back in the summer.

A course I never get tired of playing
Only issue today was the group in front of us, just slow moving on the greens
The staff ushered them along on the back, still finished in just over 4 hours but we could have gotten done in three
Received a coupon for a discount on a future rounds due to the slow play
Only other issue was the beverage cart wasn’t out

If you’ve been playing well and want to give yourself a test, take a run up to Myersville, MD. You need to know your yardages as the will be some blind shots that will call for confidence over the ball
Friendly staff

Best advice is to know your ability and play the correct tees for your handicap
This course will quickie let you know if you bitten off more than you can handle
This course is alway in good shape, though the rough was spotty with some thin spots
Keep your tee shots down the middle, a big hop to far offline will end up in deep long grass with little hope of finding your ball
Friendly staff and we got around 18 in 4:20
Thanks!
