Eagle Mountain Golf Club
Played On 07/01/2020Excellent course/ Difficult greens
Eagle Mtn is a tremendous layout. If you like plenty of elevation changes, lots of bunkering around the greens and beautiful vistas, this is the place for you! It appears like they have kept the course very well watered. Fairly generous off the tees but challenging second shots to huge, highly contoured greens that are in excellent shape.
My only beef was that the range was closed today so zero warm-up except for the putting green.
I’ll most likely be back
Talking Stick Golf Club - Piipaash Course
Played On 06/29/2020Well conditioned course
This 18 at Talking Stick(North) is a relatively easy course that’s in very good condition. Greens putted true. Bunkers had plenty of sand in them. The fairways are relatively generous and also in excellent condition. The fact that there are no houses along the course and you have wide open vistas to take in makes the experience very enjoyable. Just wish the yardage markers were more noticeable in the fairways. Maybe a small bush or stake for the 150 yard marker and something for the 100.
The range is huge but does lack a practice pitching green/bunker.
All in all a great place to play in the Phoenix area.

Eagle Mtn is probably one.of the best courses you can play in the area. Great condition, challenging layout, very nice amenities, plenty of water on the course to drink and a tremendous golf course!
Stonecreek Golf Club
Played On 07/18/2018July 18th round
The course layout is excellent. Many holes force you to think about your tee shot as you stand on the tee. Do I lay up or try to fly it over the trouble? Will I go into the hazard if I hit driver?
The greens were in fairly good shape, but were pretty soggy and very slow. Bunkers were just mediocre as some had nice sand but others were crusty and hard...too inconsistent. Not sure why, but the course was very soft and looked well watered but there were large areas without grass and appeared pretty scruffy. Almost as though there had been a flood recently and much of the grass died. This made for an overall average at best experience to play here.
With better conditions, I might play here again. But Stonecreek will really need to elevate the overall condition of the course in order for the player to get his money’s worth...too much competition with other courses that offer a better experience.
Legend Trail Golf Club

The course was in very good condition overall. The greens had been recently aerated and there was a significant amount of rainfall the day prior making the greens less than excellent. Pretty shaggy.
I really love the layout as it challenges you off the tee. Many drives have to be placed correctly or you’ll be looking at a punch out of the desert brush. Bunkers were in great shape.
An excellent course for the money in a beautiful setting. You should definitely play here!
Las Sendas Golf Club
Played On 07/21/2017July 21, 2017
I had heard and read a lot about Las Sendas the past couple years so I was curious to check it out. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The driving range was good but was lacking distances to the various pin placements, which was a bit frustrating. There are no obvious signs at the tee boxes making it tricky for a first-timer to tell exactly what hole you are playing. A simple sign would help.
The course was in nice condition despite the greens having been aerated recently. Unfortunately, the bunkers were soaked from recent rains so some of them were unplayable, not the course's fault however.
Overall, a great course that was fairly challenging and very scenic. Glad I came!
Legend Trail Golf Club
Played On 07/26/2016Great course
Legend Trail is an excellent course in nice condition, despite the brutally hot summer so far. The pace of play was very slow today, probably due to the special $20 rate going on this summer.
I would rate this course above Estrella Mtn and Rancho Manana, both of which I've played recently.
Well worth the trip up here to far North Scottsdale!
Trilogy Golf Club at Vistancia
Played On 05/06/2016May 6th
I played Trilogy on a Friday, May 6. The service when I checked in was prompt and friendly. In minutes, I was on my way to the range to hit a bag of balls. The course is in excellent condition, despite what some earlier posts have suggested. The greens are in great shape; they hold a good shot and barely leave a ball mark. They roll pure and are fairly quick. All the bunkers have enough sand in them to be fair and are
very well taken care of. Tee boxes and fairways also in fantastic shape, although not "green like you see on TV". This is obviously due to an attempt to reduce the amount of water required on the course. The course should be lauded for this, not criticized!
All in all, Trilogy is a great value for the money and superior to many other courses in the valley that have reputations as high-end facilities. I'll be abck for sure!!
