A nicely kept course. Challenging layout without being too difficult. Green fees seemed a little high, but then when you compare it to some down here I guess it wasn't too bad. I would play the course again whenver I make it back to the area.

As an average golfer this is one of my favorite courses in the Destin area; however, I was just a little disappointed in the overall conditions. The greens appeared to maybe have been recently verticut and not quite healed. The fairways were not bad, but I wish they were just a little longer so the ball would sit up a little higher. Still, I always enjoy the layout and everyone there is really nice. I recommend playing it - but a hot deal makes it easier to overlook some of the flaws. We will be back in the fall and will play it again.

My friend and I discovered this course (not being from the area) last year while we were down on vacation. We had been used to playing the more upscale courses in the Destin - Sandestin region, which honestly play a little tough for our ability. Rocky Bayou offers a friendly layout for the average golfer with good rolling greens and fairway grass that plays pretty well. We now like to play this course first when we come down before we jump onto a tougher course that usually beats us up. Friendly staff at the course too.

Love this course but would probably have avoided it for next couple weeks due to winter overseeding in the fairways. Carts weren,t allowed in fairways so it was pretty much like playing cart path only golf. Greens were in good shape and putted good. Like the aeration process, it's just one of those things that you have to contend with a couple of times a year in order to play a nice course. Management does a very good job on that course. Will be back in a couple weeks.

After playing so many hilly courses back home recently, this flat layout was a welcome relief. Sand bunkers offer a little challenge but can be easily avoided with decent approach shots. The greens had been recently aerated and still were pretty sandy. They still rolled pretty good considering. All in all, a very fun course for an average scoring golfer.

The greens really rolled good that day - faster than a couple other courses I had played. The layout is a lot more forgiving also than my 2 previous outings at other Destin courses. Will definitely play next trip down.

Fun and very challenging course, especially for an average hacker like my friend and I. Would say it's the best value in the Destin area. Will try to get back there again.

Made the mistake of looking at old scorecard online the night before and deciding to play the whites. When my friend and I got there, we were paired with 2 others who informed us they were playing white tees - seemed like things were all good. We played 11 holes, losing several balls over quite a few forced carries ( being a senior golfer, I don't hit long drives anymore). That's when we looked at the actual scorecard and saw we had been playing from 6300+ yard tees. After moving up to the gold/green tees we played more to our ability and enjoyed the rest of the round. The greens had just been aerated but didn't roll as bad as some do. It is a pretty course and classy facility.

I really enjoy the layout at this course. Conditions were very good - only a little sand left on greens from past aeration. Friendly staff and just a good vibe around the club.

I'm a 15 handicap so the course is a little challenging to me even from shorter tees, but it is a fair course if you don't blow your own game up. Great way to spend a day especially with a deal from Golfnow.

Always enjoy playing here. You have to really hit a pretty bad shot to get in trouble. One thing that irritated me today was the number of golfers who were not fixing their ball marks on the green. I fixed 3 or 4 on every green that you could tell had been recently made. Even though there were quite of few other older ball marks, Blue Hills still has very good greens. I just wish some golfers would be more respectful of their duty in course maintenance.

Hadn't played there in about a year. Always enjoy the scenery and layout. The last time I played the fairway grass was a little sparse in areas, but this time they were full and the ball played well off them . Greens in great shape but seemed a little inconsistent in speed - rolled pretty true though. Look forward to playing again soon.

Greens had been recently aerated. Just about healed and were pretty slick. Fairways looking good but bunkers were wet from recent rain. Challenging course that most golfers will enjoy.

Had played a couple years ago but forgotten most holes. Course has lots of bunkers, a little water, and quite a few forced carries to make this one of the tougher courses I played while in Destin. Next time I'll know how I'll play a few holes differently.- maybe even move up one set of tees! ;)

Course in great shape. Greens had been recently punched but didn't affect role. I really like this course - if I didn't live 50 miles away, I would probably join this club. I still try to get up and play it a few times every year.

First time for my friends and I playing here. We were greeted nicely and pleased by the immediate looks of the course. Front nine has fairly straight fairways and plays very open to high handicappers. Back nine has a few doglegs and plays slightly tougher. Greens looked to have been recently verticut and still had a little sand on them but still rolled true. I had a problem judging putting speed but that was just mostly me. We plan on getting back down there again before summer is over.

Fun course to play a few times a year - not one I could play every week. Very hilly, very scenic, and some interesting rock formations to add to your shot strategy. They seem to keep up the course well for a mountain course and the people there are always nice when I play there. Every should try it out -

Probably the nicest course in the Destin area, although there are many beautiful courses there. Of course you will pay for that luxury with green fees costing around $150 during prime hours. The course plays a little tough for the average golfer with lots of water and bunkers throughout the course. Great scenery all around - will try to play again next year when I go down there.

Great course kept in great shape. Look forward to playing again.
