Great course kept in great shape. Look forward to playing again.

Course is a little deceiving in that it looks a little tight from the tee boxes but I found the fairways a little easier to hit than what I thought. Fairly flat layout along the river but great scenery. Will try to get back there again.

First time playing so I wasn't familiar with layout. A little tough for average golfer but still fun. Look forward to playing again sometime.

Had not been to course in about 10 years (I live over 50 miles away) but found it to be in better shape than I remembered. Will be back again much sooner.

I had not played this course in over 10 years as I live 50 miles away. The first several holes I remembered, but as I got to the back they seemed less familiar. The front played a little easier than the back, but neither was overly tough although there are a few pretty good size hills. The fairways were in pretty good shape, the roughs had been cut to playable height, and the greens were a little on the slick side. We had a fun day and I plan on playing there again in the near future.

A fun course for average golfers like me. Few forced carries and bunkers that rarely come in to play unless you really hit a bad shot. Makes for a relaxing day of golf.

They keep the course in great shape. Greens roll good, fairways have nice grass, and they keep the roughs at a playable height. I'd join if I lived in the Roanoke area. Only complaint would be beers are a little on the expensive side.

A challenging course with lots of bunkers and water to make you consider your shot wisely. Aesthetically great looking but not one you would want to walk.

This was a beautiful course in fantastic condition. But being a mountain course, you can expect a lot of uphill approach shots. The fairway grass was some of the tightest cut I've ever played and the greens were pretty fast, but not unreasonably so. There were very few people out there when we played and it seems like the kind of course that would never be overcrowded. It doesn't give the appearance of being a tough layout, but looks are deceiving. It makes for a very enjoyable yet challenging day.

The course was in pretty good shape except for a few greens they were having a little trouble with - I think due to so much rainfall we've had the last few months. There are a lot of up and downhill shots on this course that make it extra challenging. Play usually moves at a good pace on this course - as long as you keep it in the short grass. The roughs are not that high but do seem to hide a ball pretty well if you're not paying extra attention where it went in at. A fun course to play for all levels.

This is a fun course for golfers of all abilities, although a scratch golfer may find it too easy. Great views and well maintained. I just happened to get a great deal from GolfNow and that made the day even better (even with a little rain on the last 3 holes). I have always said I would never join a country club because I like to travel and play a large variety of courses, but if I didn't live 50 miles from Roanoke I would definitely consider joining this one.

My friends and I enjoy playing this course because it is "player friendly" to average handicappers like us. Plus the staff usually keeps the course in good condition.

We live 65 miles from course and after waking to a pouring rain, I was dreading the day ahead. The rain had subsided by the time we left, but then we ran through 2 more downpours on the way. After we arrived at the course, the guy at the counter told us we were good to go after the threesome on the tee. We had one of best days of golf in a long time! Apparently the weather had kept most people away that day and we played without being held up or anyone pressing us from behind the whole round. Even with the cloudy sometime misty day, the course looked good and we did notice some great views. The layout is pretty player friendly even with the hills and doglegs. The course is relatively short, but with my game lately I really enjoyed it. They must have recently had some bad storms and there was some tree damage around but nothing to impede play. A lot of the greens show repaired ball marks, but they rolled great and putted true. We made it through the round and didn't get wet and my friends and I agreed we would be making a return to this enjoyable course.

I had never heard any of my friends say they had played this course so when I saw the "Hot Deal" I couldn't pass up the opportunity. I did have the misfortune of the bottom falling out of the skies just as I pulled in the parking lot. It had to have dumped over a half inch in that 15 minutes so naturally my playing partners and I were stuck with cart path only. I will still say that we all enjoyed the course and all agreed we would come back again. The back 9 seemed to play a lot tougher than the front but then it could have been the walking getting to my near 60 year old bones. I would definitely recommend International to my friends.

Really liked this course. The front is flatter and more forgiving, although there is quite a bit of water it doesn't come into play unless you are hitting really errant shots. The back is tighter with more hills and quite challenging on several holes. The fairways had naturally gone dormant so we had some pretty flat lies but the greens were in excellent shape. They seem to do a great job of maintaining their course.

I have played this course about a half dozen times. The staff does well keeping the playing conditions in good shape. Fairways always play well and the greens are kept at an average rolling speed - not as fast as some courses at the beach. The layout is pretty forgiving for your average Joe Hacker - except for that horseshoe par 5. A tough hole that you won't see a lot of birdies on. Overall, an enjoyable day of golf can be expected.

The weather was terrible on our hour long drive to the course and still raining when we pulled in the lot. We went inside to see about the rain check policy, but as we had figured there was none due to having booked online through Golfnow, We had pretty much expected that and were not angry over our bad luck with the weather. We decided to go for it, got the cart keys, and headed for the truck to load up. By the time we got our shoes on and headed for the first tee, the rain had quit - and the golf gods allowed us 4 1/2 hours of great golf weather. The fairways had been recently aerated and the grass hasn't come in well yet, but the greens rolled true and we had an awesome time. We look forward to getting back there again this summer.
