Played On 05/07/2023Great layout , poor conditions
I have played. a lot of golf all over the world. This is a great layout, but the turf conditions were so subpar that it was a disappointment, for a top 100 course.. The greens were okay, the rest of the course, disastrous!!! I’m not an agronomist, but I have played a lot of golf. The strain of Bermuda planted in the fairways is not appropriate for the area, It’s a shame that turf conditions spoils an otherwise positive view of the course.
The young man that greeted me and took care of loading my bag on the cart was great, and I tipped him accordingly. The guy in the pro shop????????? What an unpleasant experience!!!!!!
The Club At Viniterra

I loved the layout, well designed and challenging. Turf conditions were not that good. Fairways and tees looked like they were still in winter condition. Greens we’re starting to come around.
Plantation Lakes Golf and Country Club

Well designed, challenging golf course. It’s a shame that they are ruining the back nine with all the housing development in such close proximity.
Greens were very firm and a little bumpy from aeration.

The Cape Club of Palm City

This course is one of the best layouts in the area. There are good elevation changes, a variety of fairway and green shapes and mutiple tee boxes for different levels of players. The greens are well maintained and roll true and fast. My only complaints; it is a wet course, fairways can be muddy at times, and some tee boxes need work. It's a challenging course that's very different than other daily fee courses in the area. No boring holes here. Nice club house and the food is good.

This is always a challenging course. The course played long due to the recent rain, so no roll. Greens were in good shape.

Madison Green Country Club

This was once a great course that has now deteriorated. I played twice in the last month to give it a fair chance. Weeds are prevalent throughout the course, tees are thin on grass and hacked up, and maintenance in general is poor. This is a challenging layout that requires a cautious strategy and good shot making. Adding poor conditions only makes it more difficult and less enjoyable.

We appreciate your feedback after your experience at Royal New Kent. This Mike Strantz Design constructed on such a large site gives some great views and challenges. But it also creates spots that may have some difficulty transitioning from dormant grass (brown) to growing and healthy grass. We are working hard every day to help the growing process of our Bermudagrass that is moving slower than expected. We expect to see major improvements very shortly.
