Rosedale Golf & Country Club
Played On 06/24/2020Great Track
Played Rosedale for the first time yesterday. Will definitely be playing here again. Great value and everything in great condition..
My only complain is that the Tee Boxes could use some love.
Play here!
Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club - North Course
Played On 06/11/2020Hidden Gem
Went to play the North course with a friend. We both live in Tampa. This was well worth the one hour drive.
Everything was in great shape and a 5 star experience. We paid only $50 and that's a steal for this course.
The only negative were the tee boxes could use a little love but otherwise the greens rolled great, fairways and rough were in good shape. I'd highly recommend any golfer that plays the local Tampa Bay public courses to check this out. Do not hesitate on making the drive.
TPC Tampa Bay
Played On 05/22/2020Great Track, Terrible Greens
I was reading reviews on the green maintenance before I booked the round so I called the clubhouse asking for a green status update. Was told they are in great shape, it's been 3 weeks since top dressed..not 100% but in great shape already. Wow was that misleading!! Wish I would have went with reading the other reviews.
Outside of the greens not being ready everything was great. Good track and would like to play again once it's in better shape from aeration.
Thank you for visiting us at TPC Tampa Bay. We appreciate your 4-star rating and review. We hope you join us for another round soon.
Cove Cay Golf Club

The staff here certainly does NOT go out of the way to be friendly. The older gentleman in the pro shop never goes out of his way to crack a smile or be nice to anybody of my younger generation. (I'm 30 years old)
75% of the greens are sandy with many ugly patches. The Tee Boxes are the worst I've ever seen them. Fairways were in average shape.
I live right beside this golf course but go out of my way to avoid this track. Has potential to be a great course because the views at the end of the back 9 are the best in area.
Avoid this course and opt for East Bay (10 minutes away) instead. In the winter months when Snowbirders are down they do pay a bit more attention so may give it another shot in November or December.
Cove Cay Golf Club
Played On 07/30/2013Great Value. Not Perfect course though
Overall a great value playing here. Front 9 is always challenging to me and back 9 seems a bit easier. Short course but lots of water and sand to make it challenging. Water is in play on 12 holes. Has a great view of the bay on a few holes.
Some greens are in decent condition but others are hard to tell difference between sand trap and green.
Have played here over 5 times and only met one really nice guy. The others seem to be just kind of ...there.
They have a driving range but lately it seems to either be closed or mats only. Beware the mats are only astroturf sitting on top of a concrete slab. I thought I broke my wrist last time hitting a wedge off the turf/slab. I will not be hitting range balls here anymore.
