Glade Springs Village - Stonehaven Course
Played On 05/30/2023Always a favorite!
I was on my way through WV and wanted to stop for 18 since I was going to be near Glade but had seen where they had recently punched the greens at Stonehaven. I was hesitant but after a quick chat with Matt F, he assured me that they were in good condition along with the rest of course and wow, he was was not wrong. I couldn’t tell the first green had even been punched, it felt like it was a little slower due to recent rain and not aerification. I got lucky and was paired with two awesome locals who had a lot of course and local knowledge so it made for a great round. All in all great shape! I would have never believed I was there 2 weeks post aerification and heavy rain.
Mount Mitchell Golf Club
Played On 05/29/2023Awesome mountain course!
First time at Mt Mitchell and it did not disappoint! Really fun layout with some good elevation changes and a couple blind shots to keep you on your toes. I was paired up with a couple locals that were great tour guides. Even with the previous rain and cart path only rule, the course still played well and pace of play wasn’t bad either. Will gladly go back and play again when I’m in town!
Quicksilver Golf Club
Played On 04/02/2022Always a great track!
If you're looking for a challenge then give this track a run. Lots of elevation changes, blind corners, and quick greens in the summer, this place will test your entire bag. Always a blast playing here as long as the winds are friendly.
Glade Springs Village - Woodhaven Course
Played On 10/08/2022A must play if you’re in southern WV!!
First and foremost, this is the Dr Seuss of golf courses. It will have you shaking your head more times than not and you’ll likely need a tour guide the first time you play it. But with that being said, I freaking love it here! The course is always in amazing shape from the greens to the tee boxes, and the fairways are plush enough to make you feel guilty for every divot you take. The first 2 holes are just easy enough to tease you into thinking that you’re going to have a laid back, casual round and then hole 3 brings you back to reality just in time for hole 4 to leave your scratching your head as soon as you step on the tee box. And it doesn’t stop there. There are plenty of notable holes you’ll want to grab a picture of just because you can’t put them into words and do them justice. Holes 8 and 18 will be the true tests to see if you snap a club or two. I know all of this seems overwhelming and not like a fun round but I promise you it’s an absolute blast to experience. Grab some buddies or get paired up with some locals and just enjoy everything Woodhaven has to offer. The clubhouse staff is always awesome and Matt F. is always a great host for the round. It may not be for the faint hearted or new beginners, but I guarantee it will be memorable and you’ll want to bring others just for the experience!

Timacuan Golf Club
Played On 07/07/2019Awesome Value!
First time playing this track and wow, it’s awesome. Big ponds to hit over with some narrow landing areas for the risk takers made this course a blast to play. Conditions were pretty good with some slight standing water leftover from the heavy rains, but nothing I’d say is worth less than the 5 star rating. The staff are definitely top notch. There was an issue with my tee time getting moved to a different date and they said no worries and completely helped me out! I can’t wait to go back again! If you’re in the area, I highly recommend it!
Red Bridge Golf and Country Club
Played On 03/28/2019Eat your Wheaties!
This course is a blast to play! I always enjoy coming to Red Bridge because it seems to always humble everyone who thinks their game is up to par. The elevation changes, length, and layout are always a fun challenge. And just when you think you’re winding down at the end of your round, the 600yrd par 5 #18 hole laughs at you. Greens are usually really fast so that is a fun challenge on its own. I always look forward to my next round there.
Mission Inn Resort & Club - El Campeon Course
Played On 03/27/2019Worth the drive!
The course is absolutely gorgeous and definitely worth the drive as it’s sort of away from the Orlando area. I got an amazing Hot Now deal that I couldn’t pass up and even though it stormed hard enough to have to stop and hide for 20 minutes, I was able to resume and still enjoy the round. Even with the rain, the course was still fun to play as it feels mountainous on the back nine. Definitely recommend playing here but don’t take it lightly, you’ll need to bring your A game for sure.
