Played On 03/08/2021The course is one of the more difficult around here. I enjoy playing it as it gives me a good test. It is also kept up nicely. The bathrooms are clean and stocked. It did have 2 temporary greens on one of the nines we played and I think a different nine (the course has 27 holes) we were not allowed to play was open and did not have any temporary greens. I felt a bit slighted.
Riverbend Golf Complex

I like the course layout but it is still very wet. Many sand traps are full of water and there were puddles of water on several greens. I can’t wait to play until summer when the course has dried out.
Brookdale Golf Club

Unfortunately I did not have anything nice to say about my recent golf outing at Brookdale. We teed off at 12:15 on a Wednesday and after nine holes we were on 6 hour pace. 6 hour pace is not acceptable ever especially midday during a work week. On hole 6 we called the club house and asked if a marshal could be sent out to see if there was a group holding everyone up. We were told it was very busy and they did not agree to send out a marshal. After nine holes we asked for a rain check for the back nine and the staff gave it to us. We left. I don’t know that I’ll be back because of this experience and that the course is closing. I have played Brookdale many times and I will miss it once it’s gone but this last time leaves a bad taste in my mouth and bad memory.
