Royal Stouffville Golf Course
Played On 10/22/2017Perfect weather, aweful pace
weather was perfect, but the pace of pay was aweful. took over 5 hours to finish 18. course seemed to be overbooked all the time. the only time we played here that wasn't over 4.5 hours was on a cloudy/rainy day. will only recommend if you have a lot of time to kill + lots of patience.
Brant Valley Golf Course
Played On 10/21/2017Scenic course but needs a better map
very scenic course, hard to know where the green is sometimes, as it is quite difficult to see the green from a few holes. course was busy when we arrived but we were allowed to start from the back 9 so pace of play was pretty good. finished in 3.5 hours with hubby.
Royal Stouffville Golf Course
Played On 08/19/2017Good course but easy to lose balls
The course itself is on a pretty good shape but the club house is indeed needs a renovation. Pace could be slow, we played here three times and only one time we were able to finish within four hours (2 some). Course itself is quite challenging with lots of water and traps. But overall it a pretty good course to play on.
Remington Parkview Golf and Country Club - Upper
Played On 08/18/2017Simple course
Course is simply laid out, not overly challenging. Speed of play could be slow as it's quite popular. The last two times we played it was fairly quick due to weather conditions, not a lot of people came out. When it was stacked up the Marshall doesn't seemed to enforce the ready golf rule.
Foxbridge Golf Club - South/North
Played On 09/01/2014fun course, overbooked but will be back on a regular day
My husband and I played at this course for the first time on the labor day long weekend and the course was very busy; we had to wait for the previous group to tee off almost at each tee box; it's understandable due to the long weekend but I wish the course would just refuse taking more walk-ins on a day like this. The South course was in a better condition than the North course, which was undergoing some construction. Some tee boxes were very dry and greens bumpy. Overall, it's not a bad course but we will try to avoid long weekends and only play on a regular week day or weekend.
Newcastle Golf Course
Played On 08/30/2014Good course
Pretty good course, some tees are pretty dry but overall well-maintained fairways and greens. Some greens are really fast. Would be challenging for beginners for its lengths. Didn't eat here so couldn't really comment on the food.
Hy Hope Golf Course
Played On 08/24/2014Good but short course
We regularly play Hy-Hope Farm as it is near home and not too pricy. Very scenic and well-maintained. The only down side is it's a really short course for 18 holes and would really be qualified only for 9 holes (total yardage is just a little over 3,000 yards for 18 holes). If you are in a hurry but want to play a relatively inexpensive and scenic course, Hy-Hope is a good choice.
Rolling Hills Golf Club - Classic
Played On 08/09/2014Too crowded to enjoy the game
Lots of seniors/retired people playing at this course, making it way over booked; we ended up being stacked up at every tee box and had to wait for at least 5-10 minutes at each hole. Staff were friendly; however, we wouldn't come back nor would we recommend it to others.
Whispering Ridge Golf Course
Played On 07/26/2014Would come back again
My husband and I have played this course a few times and would recommend it to others. It's very scenic and well maintained. The lengths are good for me as a beginner and not so boring for my husband who's an intermediate player. Only wish they would have promotions more often!
Oshawa Airport Golf Club
Played On 06/01/2014poorly maintained and stacked at every tee box
today we played 18 holes and it was not enjoyable. it was hurry up and wait golf. the greens and tee boxes were hard as rock and the greens had been aerated, very rough. you couldn't putt because the balls were bouncing all over the place, you couldn't put your tee in the tee box because the ground was so hard. overall, i can't say that we would recommend this course.
