We teed off at 2:24 pm hoping to play 15 -18 holes. After 3 holes we hit a a ridiculous backup with a 4-some, a 3-some, a 2-some and our 2-some on hole #4. From that point on it was a long wait on every shot. I thought things would improve on the back 9 when the 3-some quit after 9. Unfortunately the course allowed a 2-some to start on the back and the slow play forced us to quit after 12 holes. The course needs rangers and should prohibit walkers.

We were a 2-some playing behind a 3-some who were playing behind a 4-some. While the 3-some was slow, due to the fact they had never heard of "ready play" and applied traditional golf etiquette in the extreme, the 4-some was the slowest group of players I have ever experienced. Those 4 Brandons must have been putting for each other's great, great, great grandchildren since they spent 15 minutes putting on every green. Waiting several minutes to make every shot makes for a horrible round of golf and it was quite obvious that was OK with McCormick Ranch. We will not be back, unless the next round of slow play is absolutely free and they thrown in a free lunch to boot!

The conditions were the best I've seen at Bear Creek.

A very good course at a very fair price for AZ golf. I will always go back to this course.

Slow play, as expected on all Phoenix "city" courses. The conditions were poor to fair. We previously played just after re-seeding and it was lush during the cart path-only phase. Now the fairways are more brown than one might expect with several areas under repair. The rough is very poor. And, to make matters worse, the course plays long, has several difficult holes and is pricier than the conditions warrant. We won't be returning.

The real problem was the starter that allowed a 2-some without a tee-time to squeeze in front of us. One of the 2-some played in flip flops and the other may have never played golf before. With a 12:16 tee time we made the turn at 2:55. So, we asked for a refund and did not play the back 9. This a very poorly managed golf course with a bad starter and no ranger to be seen.

I commend the course management for allowing carts in the rough instead of cart path only during the overseed process.

This may be a $77 course under perfect conditions in March. But, during the cart path only phase of the overseeding process, it is a $40 course. I won't play the course again until they send me a $37 refund X 3.

The rough was so deep the 3 offs lost 8 balls and the constant searching for balls slowed down the game to the point that we essentially gave up searching and just took undeserved penalties. Very disappointing. I expected better conditions for the high price they charged.

The grass was sprayed to kill it as part of the annual overseeding process.. $50.99 is way too much, to play a brown golf course. The owner of Trilogy should ashamed of his greed.

I booked 18 holes via GolfNow for golf today. We got to the course and learned the front 9 was closed due to overseeding. The front 9 was open, but the overseeding process had begun and was in full swing (the fairway grass was dead and they were scraping the dead grass for pick-up at a later date). When I asked what we supposed to do, they said call GolfNow. Why did GolfNow sell tee times at a course that was essentially closed?

I will never return to Foothills golf course and am considering cancelling my GolfPass + Vip membership with GolfNow.

the back nine is very difficult. It is very tight (woods both sides of fairways on most holes and it plays much longer than the card says. The par 5's are very hard and hole #17 is just plain unfair.

However, the fairways were a little ratty and filled with clumps of freshly cut grass.

The very challenging and fun to play hole #14 (306 yard par 4) was made into a very short (distance unmarked, therefore unknown), par 3 with a temporary green that was nearly impossible to put on.

And, the tee boxes on hole #15 (397 yard par 4) were relocated so that players had 2 choices: hit a driver directly into the woods or lay up pray for a bogey.

Both changes came as a complete surprise, as no forewarning was provided at tee-time purchase or at check-in.

The course is not the same with those changes and had we known, the long drive from Wadsworth would not have been made.

In the absence of transparency and full disclosure, a good course would have offered refunds to those that were woefully mislead.

No surprise the course has changed hands so often.

Great course and great playing condtions... as always!

Our tee-time was 12:07, but we tee'd off closer to 1:00 because they hosted a last minute golf outing and everything got backed up. They sold us range balls, but then the clown that sold us the balls came down to the range to say the range was closed. What a joke. I will never go back to that cesspool and I will make certain none of my friends do either. That course is managed like Biden managed the exit from Afghanistan. They should shut the course down and build condos there.

Played behind a bad 3-some playing from the tips. So, we waited on on every hole and nary a ranger to be seen.

In pretty good shape for a relatively inexpensive course.

While it was nice to see former Cleveland Indians catcher, Ron Pruitt working at the course, the round of golf was not enjoyable. The rough was ridiculously long and thick and almost impossible to get out of. And, the fairways were overwatered so that amatuer ball-strikers suffered with fat shot after fat shot. Then to top off a bad day on difficult course they arbitrarily required cart path only on several holes and then created a temporary green on hole number 18 about 100 yards short of the regular green. Why couldn't they post that aberration on GolfNow, so that players could opt to play elsewhere and not be surprised on the last hole.
