I first played this course in 2006. The best description was a cow pasture. Since the new owner took over, his mission has been to make this a playable yet challenging course, which he has done!
He has changed the course to be more playable, and with less wait times except, of course, at peak times.
I'd make one suggestion, especially to those who were the most critical of the course conditions...fix your divots and ball marks!
And for those who don't like the layout, I love it! Its a challenge to have to drive your ball to a difficult fairway placement to have a shot at the green. That's golf!
My 3rd suggestion is for those who think they're good enough to play the championship tees - you probably aren't that good. How do I know? I've played behind you. You're holding the rest of us up.
Sorry for all the venting. They've done wonders with this course and it's well worth playing! I should know, I drive all the way from s Tampa and my partner drives from Oviedo.

Course was dry, greens were fast. It's just that time of year. Always love this course!

The only problem is getting to the course. Hwy 98 is now not allowing a left turn in the eastbound lanes.

Such a wonderful golf course, it's been left to go to seed. As much as USF spent on the practice building, they have left the burned clubhouse/snack bar to rot. I'm wondering if they didn't keep up with the insurance payments. We have a world class golf team, and a course to be ashamed of.

Rachel got us started today and let us know there were two tournaments starting as well. She had us start on the back 9 so we could finish, if possible. The course was in awesome shape, and we had a fantastic time. Will be back soon!!

We always enjoy Willowbrook. The staff is great, very friendly. The starter always makes sure we have a great round. She's a keeper!!

Great job on the back nine layout. Lots of challenges, for all skill levels, and a beautiful layout. The 17th and 18th are close, but wait until everything is grown up. Meantime, a short iron should take care of that. Back to being our home course again!

It's been a long time since I played the Babe, but I won't wait so long next time. Always a challenge, this is a risk and reward course that allows you to play at your comfort level. Go play!!!

We were fortunate to find this course at a good price. They had aeriated the greens, but compared to most courses, they still ran.true. Now that I've played here, I wouldn't mind the usual green fees to play it again.

Greens and tee boxes both need work. Nice layout, not easy, not too difficult. Worth the green fees.

We've been playing this course for 3 years, and there has always been a members group that starts at 830AM. That never bothered us, we play fast and are usually first out. This time they decided to start the groups off the 16th, and of course we ran right into them. The only comment was "Those guys are gonna wait a long time."
Well, we didn't, we left not playing the last 3 Holes.

I drive from Tampa, my friend from Oviedo. We'll stick to playing the other great courses in Lakeland and not be back to Huntington Hills.

I've always like this golf course but since the new owner took over and started making all the changes and taking care of the maintenance this course is a gem in the middle of Lakeland. It's challenging he'll make you come back you can play off of any of the teas and the course plays differently so if you want to play with just your irons you can do that long drivers there's some good holes there's some pretty tough holes too.
there are a couple of holes that are really really tempting to use your driver when you probably shouldn't but you got to go ahead and try it. You can play this course if your a brand new beginner you can play this course to practice to try out new things it's just a great layout and we enjoy playing at we probably play at least three times a month and we play every Saturday.

Had a great round of golf. This is a great course for the money, and a pleasure to play.

This is an awesome course, suffering from a year of rough weather. I'm confident that it will be restored in short order if the weather cooperates. Meanwhile, the green fees are reasonable, and the staff all work hard to ensure a great time.
