New Name- Can't hide a pig

I hadn't played this course since last year, and the reason was the last time I played it, it was lousy. Frankly, for the money, there were so many other courses around just down the road in fact, that were much better. But the same thing happened this year, there are so many golfers down here from up North, that I call it the overflow effect- the best courses for the best value, are booked, then everyone just tries to find what is left. Booker Creek, was the name last year, but even with a new name, this course has not improved, barren and rough fairways, no water to drink, other than a cart girl, tee boxes have no grass and are uneven. Greens, on some holes, are average, the others are rough shape.

Maintenance on many holes

My partner and I only paid $12 each on a Golf Now special, so we really cannot complain too loudly about the course conditions. But when we got on the course, from about hole 3 to hole 9, and especially hole 4,5, were a mess and the construction people were impervious to us playing golf. Like I said, for $12, we cannot complain, but if we would have paid the $31 the couple paid that played with us, well then I would say that it would be poor value, and I would not recommend it at all.
Greens were in good condition, however on all holes. Fairways, and tee boxes not so much.

Course was wet, but not as wet as it has been, cart path only, but not to troublesome, and no obnoxious range officer as in the past

Upon arriving at the course, I listened to the conversation of the guy in front of me as he checked in and found that the everyday morning price was $18- not a 10% discount as you post- you can go to directly to the shop or call Cove Cay and get the $18 price without booking fee-
The course was not crowded, (rain) and had several holes that would have not required cart path only -but the rule was cart path only on all holes. Some mowing would have helped, but probably impossible to do more than they have done with all the rain we have been having. Greens were excellent shape, even with rain. The course played well, with fairways as good as can be expected for all the rain, very little to no release or run, high shots produced plugged balls, line shots produced skids, and a little more run. Rough was rough, and rougher, some lost balls, and lost plugged balls in fairway. Conditions will improve though, and the course is good value for the money spent, and we played it in less than 4 hrs. with cart path only Beer is ice cold and reasonable in club house, cart girl friendly, and attentive, but considerate of golfers on tees or hitting. Water available, and needed.

Course is challenging, excellent value for money, well groomed

I just played Chi Chi's yesterday, and the course was good, there was some confusion with the tee time, but we got off OK and we paired with 2 other gents about our age. We are seniors. We had a good round, but play was a little slow at the turn on both front and back nines. Greens were really nice, a little long for strimp maniacs but true, and well groomed. Fairways were in real good condition, and in fact looked better than Babe Zaharias or Tarpon Springs Golf Course, which I also just played.
The value for the price was fantastic, and the folks there are friendly which helps too.
