Today was a day after a big rain in Scottsdale. The front nine was closed, so the golf desk offered me to play the Executive Nine and the regular back nine. I took it. He was honest and gracious.
But the Executive nine was very wet and the greens were in poor shape. We almost quit on #8 when it started to pour. Being 50 degrees didn’t help.
Then it cleared up, the sun came out, and we really enjoyed the back nine. Even though there were wet spots, with water gushing down the drainage ditches, the back was in nice shape and made for a very nice experience.
I would come back and play again in better conditions.

The weather was great and the course is in great shape. The greens are fast and since I played last week, I was able to adjust and putt better. The greens are hard to read and have a great deal of movement.
This is a good value. Slow play is around the three pars. We finished in 4 hours and 15 minutes. A shortage of carts slowed the start also, but was not unhappy with the pace.

Had a great day! The staff let us on early, which we really appreciated. We completed the round in 3:45, which was excellent. The course was in great shape, though some of the greens were slow. Several holes are very challenging, good shots are rewarded. A beautiful Desert course with wonderful Mountain View’s. All the staff were friendly and helped make this a great first time visit. We definitely plan to come back!!

Dobson Ranch GC is a great value. The staff was friendly and took care of a booking problem that I had quickly and effectively. That was greatly appreciated.
The fairways and greens were in good shape. Pace of play was good until the three pars on the back nine. Even so, I was able to complete the round in less than four hours while walking.
It is a tradition course, so don’t expect desert play or views.

Challenging course designed by Arnold Palmer. Not long , but bring your A game on the water holes. Course in good shape and greens are fast. Pace of play is good and staff is efficient. I plan to play again.

I find Starfire quite challenging for an older golfer playing the white tees. I like the layout, the course is in good shape, and it’s a good value. Though our foursome did frequently need to wait for the group ahead, we still finished the 18 quickly - less than 4 hours and 15 minutes. I recommend this course.

The course is in excellent shape and a beautiful location. I play it every year. The course requires precise shots, but the fairways and greens are in perfect shape. The greens are very fast and demanding. I found it challenging and a great place to begin the new year.
Another bonus is the wildlife. Watching the blue heron with the fabulous Mountain View is a thrill. This is a magic place.
