Heritage Shores Golf
Played On 08/07/2017Country Links
The course is setup pretty similar to a links style course in terms of tee shots being pretty open. However, there is water on a handful of holes which lends to a nice challenge. I wouldn't call the course overly difficult, but if you want a challenge feel free to play the Tournament tee box that's at 7,000+ yards. Practice facility is also nice and the course was in great condition.
Compass Pointe Golf Club - North/East Course
Played On 08/02/2017It's a Toss Up
Compass Pointe has a lot of potential, but I don't feel like it's being properly channeled. When you check in with the starters, lately it's been a bunch of kids that don't seem to know what they are doing. There have been consistent backups and you never know which of the four courses you'll get to play any given day. As for the course, it's pretty challenging and enjoyable to play. Greens sometimes are like concrete when playing in the afternoon so be wary. Prices are pretty competitive for what you get and the full grass practice range is great.
Walden Golf Club
Played On 07/30/2017Good Practice Course
In golf, you typically get what you pay for and this holds true at Walden. Green fees are probably some of the lowest around. There's no driving range to warm up on and not much supervision on the course. The course is pretty challenging and there is a lot of trouble to be found. It's a fun course to play and practice on course since the fees are low. Course conditions are typically pretty good, but slow play happens a good bit here. Additionally, the last three times I've been, on very hot days, the water coolers have been empty. You've been warned.
Bowie Golf Club
Played On 07/22/2017Run of the Mill
BGCC is pretty basic when it comes to golf courses. Fees are low though so that's a plus. Some holes can be pretty challenging (i.e., doglegs, shots over water, etc.), and it can be a fun course to play. Amenities aren't great and the clubhouse is pretty old and rundown. If you're looking for discount golf, look no further.
Jonathan's Landing Golf Course
Played On 07/16/2017Tricky Tricky
The course starts out with back to back Par 5's and a very tight and tricky short Par 4 that will set the tone for your round. If you can play these well, you'll set yourself up for a good round. The course is pretty open like a links style course so if it's windy, watch out. Overall, it's always been a cheaper option and fun course to play. Heard grumblings about ownership at the course from members, but open to the public so play on.
Bay Hills Golf Club
Played On 07/08/2017Short but Fun
Bay Hills is an affordable course with no driving range, but fun track to play. It's a shorter course, Par 70, with only one Par 5. However, it can be challenging due to trees, hazards, etc. Great place to learn the game of golf and the course was in great shape. A lot better than I expected. I'll be back.
Renditions Golf Course
Played On 05/11/2017Play like a Pro
As the name suggests, Renditions models all of it's holes as replicas from professional tracks and as you'd assume, this makes for a tough course to play. Most of the greens are hard and fast and lots of trouble comes into play. The course is in great shape and the holes from Augusta and the island green from TPC Sawgrass are a joy to play.
Good mooring Golfer! Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Sorry if there was some confusion on the tee. One golf course is being re-grassed this summer and will be back open in a few weeks. This should get rid of the issue you ran into. Regards, CP Team
