Hammock Creek is a must play if you are staying in the Stuart / Palm City area. Staff friendly, course conditions and layout great, greens fast and true.

The course needs a serious dose of fertilizer. Greens are very,very fast and putt true. Bring along a few extra balls, under brush very thick and nearly. Wait staff in pub area helpful and friendly.

Links style course with plenty of room off the tee. Best greens in the area, fast and true. Suggest you roll a few putts on the practice before teeing off.

Most of the average ratings really should be 31/2*. Interesting layout, tight with water in play on several holes. If playing the course for the first time use the GPS system provided in the carts to find where the fairway runs out and the hazards begin. Pack along an extra sleeve or two of golf balls. Shots landing in the bushes are difficult to find. Pace of play was an issue. We had a 1215 tee time but didn't tee off until 1235, we finished at 510! Ouch!! In spite of this we will play the course again.

Condition of the greens on the front 9 was like putting on rolled mud. Obviously the overseeing didn't work. Some of the tee boxes on the front 9 were also very muddy.

Didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised, Interesting layout, generous landing areas off the drive . Bunkers were the best of the courses we played in the Hilton Head area. Played the Barony course, not sure of the other 2 at Port Royal. Would recommend if your in the area.

1st time we played this course, a real treat in spite of cart path only restriction due to rain the day before. A must play if you stay in the Hilton Head area.
