Wareham Golf Club
Played On 09/18/2022Such A Shame
Wareham has always been on our list to play as an old established course in the area, however is turned out to be quite disappointing. No grass on the tees, the greens were spiked and sanded which should be fine but they had not been rolled and the ball went through the Dakar Rally to get to the hole. Its a real shame as the property has so much potential and with a little TLC could be a feature course that you might want to play time and again. We always want to make out reviews fair but we came away from here actually not wanting to return which is not how a gold course should leave you feeling. The place is obviously under going some refurbishment with the building work but the priority should be on the state of the course and not where you have your drink after. There are multiple sprinklers on every tee which i don't think have been used in quite a while, so there is no point in having them there as a trip hazard going down a hole in the ground. Most of the fairways were like playing in the rough if you could actually find some grass to play off, which we did on one hole at least which was a welcome bonus. I wish the course well but my advise is give it some love as you want paying guests to return not to not want to come back to you.
I have put no in the would i recommend the course to a friend, not in its present condition but i hope i would in the future if it improves.
Bulbury Woods Golf Club
Played On 07/26/2020Nice Course Shame About the Tees
Bulbury Woods is always a nice course to play, greens are in great condition but the Tees are somewhat different which is a shame. A few are fine but most are like playing off farmland which makes the round of golf a little disappointing, but this will not keep us way from playing the course again as i am sure it is a short term issue.
We will be back
