Babcock National
Played On 05/26/2020New construction
The course is very new. The clubhouse is just under construction, so there is a temporary mobile unit to check in and for bathrooms. The course is wide open with plenty of water and bunkers. Very little vegetation yet. The course is in fantastic shape as it doesn’t have heavy play yet. Enjoyable for a day of playing somewhere different for a change.
Herons Glen Championship Golf & Country Club
Played On 06/22/2017Always fun
A beautiful course that is always enjoyable to play. If you don't play here often, maneuvering the course can be confusing as the holes are spread out through the community and you must drive through the streets a couple of holes. The smiling ranger with the ice cold towels driving around is a wonderful pleasure! We love coming here off season and will be back several more times during the summer!
Palmetto-Pine Country Club
Played On 06/17/2017Always a fun course
My husband and I belong to a different local course but always enjoy playing Palmetto Pines during the reciprocal season. The staff are always exceptionally friendly and we vow to return more often every time we play there.
Cape Royal Golf Club - Queen/King
Played On 06/12/2016Should advertise "Under No Management" !!
We quit playing this course 2 years ago because it is poorly maintained. We have watched the signs for months now advertising "New Management" and "New Greens". Granted, there has been some rain recently, but the course was in hideous shape. We are members at Coral Oaks just a couple miles up the road and they do not have these issues at all. Their course is in excellent condition. The greens were miserable. The fairways were more like cow pastures- weeds 6 inches long going to seed!!! All the bunkers were waste areas- not one was playable! The fringes around the greens were all long, 2-3 inches deep. When I inquired following our round, I was told that the course was indeed in better condition than it was since new management... OMG!!!! I was told the bunkers are about to be either removed or redone this summer. Well, the rates didn't reflect that nor were we warned (advisory, etc) Well, the beers are cheap and you need plenty of them if you want to play here any time soon....
