A scant wind from the north was a nice change. Marshall paired me with a nice guy and a great 4 some. Price for holiday to too much. $45-47 is OK not 54.

Course in nice shape in general for March. Greens are amazing for March. How much time does it take to pull the weeds out of the center of the greens? Still very nice. There were 2 5-somes on the course. The first group was great and encouraged us to play through without incident and the second group was not. The round stalled at the 14th and took too long to finish. Really you permit 5 some?

Course held up well except for bunkers. Bunkers, bunkers bunkers, very good course. But there is a big problem in my opinion. Progress on the west but the east beaches needs more than just sand.

A challenge from the start. with the ball rolling without interference in the fairway it is inevitable that you roll into a bunker and at the east course that is a problem. The "jaws" bunkers are vert difficult and in the wind and rain a huge challenge. most greens were nice fast as glass but that cannot be helped.

pretty good shape . you do need to put some sand int he bunkers and the amount you need will take a boat load from Egypt.

Played on 9/8 and bunkers on several holes were shabby. Compacted. But today i landed in several and they were fluffed and raked. Rough is really high and finding the ball let alone hitting it back into the fairway is no small task.

Greens finally playing acceptably

Greens under aireation so not fun putting but rough was ridiculously high thick. You guys control pace if it takes 5 minutes to find a ball just five yards off line. Great fairways so lush and wide in landing areas. Bunkers could be fluffed and raked: No uniformity from bunker to bunker.

Good value with some care could be very good. A long way from excellent but very good is within reach. If you mow the rough so we can find our ballls

The architect truly took the time and space to craft every hole, from tee box to landing areas. The approach to the green is always protected by trees, bunkers, location and slope of green.
The morning was ideal with no wind, soft greens and fast play. The afternoon wind pushed marginal shots into the abyss, and with blind shots there was lots of abyss on the back.
Greens were fast and sloped severely near the pin which did not reward good shots. Fairways were great and the rough was fair.
The path was through meadows, groves of sycamores and oaks, down into creek gorges then to hill tops within a 1,000 yards. Awesome vista just wish I had a guide for my maiden tour.
