Slow greens
Played 5 rounds of golf in the Ft. Myers area in 3 days. Raptor Bay’s greens were far and away the slowest and I would compare it to putting on the fringe. The facility, its staff, and pace of play was great.
Staff was great and the pace of play was fast
The only thing that was frustrating about this course was the slowness of the greens. They looked great, but it was like putting on fringes. Still a great track!

The Club At Westminster

So I played Westminster today and I was immediately worried about the course conditions after using the putting green and looking at the range. They were both in rough shape and the course wasn’t any different. I paid for 18, but left after playing only 9 holes. The greens on the course were ok and that is as nicely as I can put it. The tee boxes, fairways, and rough are full of weeds and patchy grass. I know that Covid-19 might keep the greens keeping staff off the course more than normal, but it can’t make the course look this bad in a month. One of the guys I got paired up with today said this is the best that the course has ever looked which was shocking. Maybe it will come around eventually, but I don’t see that happening anytime soon. The cart guy and inside staff were nice and they did allow players to ride one to a cart which was great during this crazy time. Cups were raised and there are no bunker rakes so the course is taking the right precautions for social distancing. I’m sorry, but I won’t be back anytime soon after seeing the course conditions today. I’ll spend a few more bucks and play other courses while visiting the Ft Myers area.

This will now be a mandatory stop during my Ft. Myers trips from now on. Very challenging, but fair golf course for all levels. Course was in great shape and the staff was very friendly. Spend a few extra bucks and play the nicest course in the Ft. Myers area!

River Hall Country Club

Nice course. Very well kept and the staff was great. Green side bunkers protect the greens so choose your approach wisely. Multiple tee box options provide a shorter course for the high handicappers and some nice length at the back tees for the better players. Worth your time to play while in the Ft. Myers area!
