Course is in excellent condition with a great variation of holes and tight greens to offer up a great challenge. An absolute steal at £30 for a round at a weekend!

Great course, greens rolling fast & true. Friendly members made us feel very welcome while we had lunch before our game. A great & fair test of golf.

We were a little sceptical when we were only charged £20 for a round of golf on a Sunday. However, reviews looked good, so we chanced it and I’m glad we did. The course is brilliant and has some quirky little holes. The greens are absolutely superb, a great putting surface. Well worth a visit and a steal at £20 on a Sunday morning.

Played On 08/21/2021Great Greens
It rained from start to finish when we played our round, but that didn’t dampen our spirits. Even soaking wet, the greens ran true and fast, a delight to putt on. Unfortunately, the tee boxes especially and some of the fairways let the course down slightly, they just required a bit more attention and some tee boxes were of semi rough length. Enjoyed the course all the same, however would recommend eating elsewhere as we paid well over the odds for a bacon sandwich as we hadn’t ate beforehand!

Great course, great greens and a tricky layout. Don’t let the short yardage fool you, this is a very testing and tight course that doesn’t require a lot of drivers to be used. A thinking mans course.

Played On 08/20/2021A Little Dissapointed
Had heard great things about the course and was excited on arrival as the area around the brilliant clubhouse looked immaculate. Unfortunately once we arrived on to the first tee, they were in very poor state. They are absolutely covered in divots and the tee blocks obviously hadn’t been moved for a good few days, at times it was hard to find a spot to tee up. Probably more due to bad timing, but the greens had recently been tined and sanded before we played which made for uneven surfaces, and although the green fee was reasonable, it would have been good to have been informed of this before playing as it was a bit of a surprise on a sunny August afternoon to see greens you’d expect in October!

We were staying locally and was recommended playing Jedburgh and what a great course it is! Greens were running true and after a very rainy month, the course was dry. A great mix of holes and some well positioned bunkers keep you honest. Don’t be fooled by the shorter yardage. Worth playing for the 13th & 14th holes alone. Bar staff were friendly and food brilliant, we will be back on our next visit!

Played On 08/09/2020Lovely Course
I played on a sunny Sunday morning and the course was in brilliant condition. There are a good variety of holes with some you can open the shoulders and lash a drive and others where you have to think your way round and lay up. Well placed bunkers and plenty of sand in them (I was in 5!). Greens rolled fast & true. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable mornings golf.

Played this course on a Saturday afternoon where the tee times were booked nose to tail, and we weren’t held up once. The condition of the course is immaculate and there was a nice friendly and welcoming atmosphere from the members around the clubhouse when we arrived. Added bonus that you get some stunning views over the Clyde. Will definitely return for another game one day.

Played On 08/08/2020Not Bad For A Council Course
Was desperately looking for a course to play on a Saturday morning, most were closed for visitors due to competitions & COVID. Course itself was ok, first 12 holes are enjoyable with a few challeneges, and the last 6 holes become a very tough walk up and down a hill. Greens were good, although with it being a council course the standard/etiquette of golfer may not be as good and there were loads of unrepaired pitchmarks. The fairways were pretty long, and the bunkers were unplayable, rock hard sand and full of weeds. Overall, it is worth the £15 I paid to get a game on a Saturday morning but I wouldn’t rush back.

Enjoyable course, especially the front 9. Couple of holes in the middle of the back 9 were questionable (12 thru 15), but then it is a lovely finish to the course. Greens very receptive after a good dumping of rain, but rolled fast & true. All in all an enjoyable afternoons golf and I would play it again. If you struggle with walking I would suggest a buggy, we walked round in a fourball in under 4 hours comfortably, but as the name suggests, it is a bit hilly at times.

This lovely little golf course is very well presented and offers a few risk & reward holes that really make it interesting. The signature par 4 13th really is spectacular, with views for miles from the tee and a beautifully set green, just don't be short! We were round in under 4 hours in a fourball and the staff in the clubhouse allowed us to go our earlier than booked as we were ready, and she even stayed back after hours to cook us a brilliant meal. Can't wait to come and play again, this course gets better every time I play it, and I always look forward to playing when I come up to Scotland. We didn't use buggies but there are some available, and there is the odd hill on the course, with it being set in a valley, so if you struggle with a walk I highly recommend a buggy.
