Snow Mountain at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort
Played On 11/18/2019A Pete Dye course
At home we have only one course that was designed by Pete Dye. The weather and conditions make this an extremely difficult course. Snow Mountain presented conditions and visual intimidation that Pete Dye is know for and we were not disappointed. The course is difficult but fair. The views and layout were outstanding. My only suggestion to anyone playing this course is to get there early and practice shots around the green from the rough. Knowing how to play those shots will definitely cut strokes and increase your enjoyment of the game and the conditions.
Aliante Golf Course
Played On 11/15/2019There are better choices
This is the second time we played this course and found the condition of the fairways to be disappointing. The majority of the fairways were lined by dried out grass and we would lose sight of our balls because of this. Overall the course layout and greens were fine, but there were no complimentary balls to practice prior to playing and based on the price of the green fees, that was disappointing. We decided that given the condition of the course, lack of amenities, the cost to play this course was not on our list of courses to play again.
Chimera Golf Club
Played On 11/14/2019A Must Play
Chimera formerly known as Tuscany is a sister golf course to Rhodes Ranch. Both were designed by Ted Robinson. Chimera is combination of beauty and playability. It is hands down the best course for your money. The green fees are based on the time of day you choose so we were lucky we had signed up for a 12:05 tee time but were let out at 11.30 yet our green fees were for the 12:05 time and that was a lmost a $25 dollar difference! Winter tee times must be before 12:00 or you risk finishing your round in the dark IF they allow you to finish! This course is beautifully maintained and has a lot of water features the at combine difficulty with the natural blend of desert, water and greenery. This course and Rhodes are a must play.
Chimera Golf Club
Played On 11/14/2019Beautiful Ted Robinson design course
Formerly Tuscany, this sister course of Rhodes Ranch is just as visually beautiful as Rhodes. Just enough tough and easy holes throughout to make for an enjoyable round.
Thanks for your comment! We're happy to hear you had a nice time! Hope to see you again soon!
Turtle Bay Resort - George Fazio Course
Played On 09/07/2019One of the better courses to play on Oahu
A must play if you are visiting on Oahu. The course is in great shape. If you haven't played on a Paspalum grass course you will be in for a surprise. The rough is very rough in this type of grass! Be warned. As much as possible stay in the fairway if you want to enjoy a good round. If not, at least you were warned. This is worse than the rye grass used on courses like Paiute in Las Vegas. A beautiful blend of nature and golf. It was in much better playing condition that the Palmer which we played earlier in the summer and slightly cheaper as well. This is a cant miss course to play.
Turtle Bay Resort - Arnold Palmer Course

I used to rave about this course to anyone who would listen saying that it was beautiful like the PGA courses you see on the mainland. The last time I played there, was very disappointing especially the 16th hole with the serpentine sand dunes located in the middle of the fairway. My memory of the hole location next to the ocean was just beautiful, however, the hole was encircled with almost knee high grass and weeds!. The hole was in terrible shape! Save your money and play Ko Oline on the leeward side of the island.
Rhodes Ranch Country Club
Played On 12/07/2018A must if you like Chimera/Tuscany
Rhodes Ranch is probably one of the best kept secrets in Las Vegas. Reasonably priced and just a beautiful and challenging course within minutes of the Las Vegas Strip. A sister course to Tuscany, another Ted Robinson designed course with water, lush fairways and challenging holes. Maybe not as visually daunting like a Pete Dye course, it confronts you with carries over water. Some of the holes look similar to its sister course, but all in all, a great and relaxing course to pass an afternoon instead of a smoke filled casino.
Thanks for your wonderful comment. We are so pleased to hear that you love our course. Can't wait to see you again soon!
