Balfour Golf Club
Played On 09/08/2014Enjoyable Day
An enjoyable course to play. Front nine is generally flat with some easy and some challenging holes. Back nine is more up and down with some beautiful golf holes. Unfortunately, there are also a couple of goofy holes.
This course is well manicured and in good shape. There are several water features and some great views. Greens are receptive but putt slow.
Overall a very worthwhile course to play.
Only real downer for me is "What's with all the flagging tape all over the water hazards?" You have created some nice golf holes with water only to ruin the look by stringing flagging tape all over to keep the geese away. My advice: the tape is ugly and detracts from the look of your course. Take it down and deal with the goose droppings.

This course was well maintained. Greens were fast and generally the course was in great condition. It is well treed and not your typical desert course... which we appreciated as it was a very hot day.
On the down side the driving range is not long enough to hit full length balls and warm up is with short distance ones. The rate we payed was almost fifty dollars and indicated we were getting it at 50% off. This course was fun but it is dated and "old style". It is not a $100 golf course in my opinion.
