Great track, Sierra Slow Lakes.

I love Sierra Lakes. The greens and tee boxes are some of the best for public courses in all of Southern Cali for the price. I don’t mind paying $60 for a decent public track but man oh man, the pace of play here is the worst I’ve ever experienced. I’ve played a few times over the past year and yesterday might be the last time I play Sierra unless I’m the first 5 groups out. 3 group backup on the 3rd hole and basically was the case for the rest of the round. Typical over booking I assume ? It’s such a shame because the tee boxes and greens are so good…

Please help with the pace of play. 4 hours and 45 minutes isn’t enjoyable BUT waiting on every single shot IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. There’s a difference.

Hot day on the links

This golf course is outstanding. It’s always in great shape. Me and 1 other played in less than 4 hours with rarely any waiting whatsoever. The conditions are always superb from tee boxes to fairway. The greens are on the slower side but with all the heat this place gets it makes sense they’d caution on the furry side to avoid losing the greens to burnt out surfaces (probably 9.5 on stimp). It was 93* at 9:15 when we tee’d off and about 105* at finish. I highly recommend playing this golf course ! Kyle runs a great program and it will never disappoint. Can’t wait to be back!

Very unique and scenic

The course is awesome , As long as you play with someone who has been there before. Amazing elevation changes, plenty of blind tee shots, amazing views. Conditions were good , but the greens need to get a lot firmer. Bunkers were fairly decent, tee boxes and fairways as well. Wind picks up a lot after 2. I don’t know how they get any mowers on this course because it’s so hilly, so some of the green side and fairway rough is super thick. All in all, I would play here again for under $30.

Played Hidden Valley around noon on a Tuesday. I got a golfnow tee time for 11:40, but when I checked in at 11:20, I was told to come back at 11:40 because there was a tournament that would be finishing up and had to wait for that to go through the first hole. Obviously wasn’t happy when I heard that.. so tee’d off at 12:15. Played first 7 holes in almost 3 hours. Skipped past 20 people to number 10 and played back nine in 75 min. Mad I had to skip a few holes but I wasn’t gonna play a 5:30 round. Notification for tournament would’ve been nice !

Fun little course

Played this course for my first time just before noon on Tuesday 5/29.

The price is very average to most courses in the area but as far I’m concerned this is definitely in the top 3 or so in my 15 mile radius . The course is fairly flat, but they have enough doglegs on every hole that it keeps you very engaged in shot decision. There are plenty of holes that you can bomb a driver off the tee but that isn’t always the best club choice , which leads to options off the tee. I like that.

The course conditions were definitely better than most . The tee boxes were all good, fairways were great, rough was great and greens were in great shape. I wish they were a bit faster but with the undulations you don’t have too many straight putts so it was fine. The greens aren’t all flat like other courses so pin positions can be exciting, rather than boring flat putts on every hole. The wind definitely picks up here but all in all I really enjoyed the course. For the price I would definitely play here monthly .

I love this course. Have played it a handful of times. Top 5 in the Bay Area for me. It's not a challenging course if you play to the right sides of the fairway. Angles here are a must with the challenging undulated greens, even though it's very open for the most part. The pace of play was average 4 1/2 hours. The greens were rolling very well, and everything else was just as good! I love this course and will be back plenty more times! I got a hot deal for $15. I was shocked
