Plantation Palms Golf Club
Played On 01/26/2018NIce Layout
Course is definitely in the improving stage. The tee boxes, fairways and greens are in pretty good shape. The grass looks good and green but a bit sparse. Greens had good speed. The rough is mostly dormant grass and weeds, so you are hitting off of sand if you miss the fairways. Gold tees need to be well under 6000 yards, maybe closer to 5,500 yards for Seniors. Red tees for Senior ladies should be under 5000 yards. or create a new set of tees for Senior ladies. The par 3's are enjoyable and challenging. Good hole variation with doglegs, some nice elevation changes, and many elevated greens. Even the straight holes offer some nice challenges. The one important problem is slow play by the players. You need to offer instructions on golf etiquette - 4 hours OR LESS for 18 holes.....could make this course really enjoyable. Make the 4 hours a rule like some courses are enforcing.... If the slow play improves, I would definitely return.

New management course upgrades are coming along. Nice elevation changes. Course was a bit dry in areas. Weeds are almost gone in the greens and the fairways are in pretty good shape. Greens were slightly inconsistent. Most of the traps were ok. Some water on the course. Fairways have ample landing areas. The red tees are around 4,500 yards, great for Senior Ladies........ A pleasant day for golfing.

Was a windy day and on several holes the sprinklers were on around the greens ....which made it almost impossible to putt on a few holes. NO driving range. Putting green was almost free of green grass. Greens in general were very erratic due to lack of grass and layers of blue/green sand. Fairways were very weedy. The course has some hills. Bunkers were just ok. Decent layout for seniors if the conditions improve. AND, remember to ask for a scorecard....which was not on the cart....bad news when the first hole tee box is about 300 yards from the clubhouse.....the clubhouse could have helped with that situation by mentioning to take a scorecard!!!!!

Played On 10/18/2017Good conditions
The greens were in very good condition. The fairways were ok....grass in the rough was sparse on many holes, a little on the weedy side. Bunkers were ok and had been raked nicely. Trees help to tighten up the course a little bit. A few water hazards. Pace of play was good. The course length was excellent for seniors......middle tee about 5,500 yards. AND, the women's tee was very accommodating , especially for seniors.....just over 4,500 yards. Well kept practice green and pitching area BUT no driving range.- homes have replaced the driving range.

New management has made major improvements. Greens are in decent shape, except for hole 18. The Red tees are under 4,500 yards...great for ladies and some seniors. Tees and fairways still need some work. Sand traps were in good shape. Nice elevation changes. Nice variety of holes...doglegs.....The front nine and the back nine have been reversed. Good driving range.

New management. Greens are in good shape and getting better and larger. Tee boxes and fairways definitely need more work and water. Very few water hazards. Sand traps were in ok condition. Fairways have ample landing areas. Overall nice layout with lots of elevation changes. The desk attendant was very pleasant, as compared to previous personnel....and the Front Nine and Back Nine have been reversed......

New management appears to be doing a much better job. Tee boxes and fairways are getting better. Greens are in much better shape and were very soft but very slow. The rough was very sparse and could use some water. Many elevation changes. The pro shop was closed no sign indicating where to go to sign in......
