The Golf Club of Dallas
Played On 08/27/2014Yes it's worth the drive
I live in North Dallas, Plano area, always saw this course on the site and wanted to play it, but not make the drive. I got a wild hair and just decided to go play it. I am very glad I did. I played on a Wednesday around 3 in the afternoon. The greens had just been punched but I knew that before I booked it. I don't know the grounds keeper but compared to other public courses it was in great shape. The whole experience was very nostalgic, the course and facilities are old but well maintained. it has a timeless fell to it that I really like. I really enjoyed it and will play there every chance I get. Go play it you'll see what I mean. Give it two weeks and the greens will be perfect.
Riverchase Golf Club
Played On 06/10/2014This a good course, right price, 1freebeer, pace is slow
Good condition right now, they need some help in the sand around the greens, it's very hard, like hurt yourself or clubs hard. Other than the sand, greens and fairways are in good shape. A few challenging holes, good staff, and new carts. I would give it a 4 but the pace was not good 5+ hours and I played at 1 on a Tuesday. The 1st beer is free, and that's always a plus. The guests at the club and the staff where very friendly.
The Courses at Watters Creek - Player's Course
Played On 10/10/2013If your looking for a quick game or warm this is the best in Dallas
It's a short course 6 par 3's but 3 awsome par 4's. great place to get the kinks out and work on your irons, it's just been redone completely and they did a good job. Greens are flawless right now and it is in great shape. Sand is real nice and the grass is perfect. The reason I don't give it a five is it was a little slow but I played it twice in 3 1/2 hours. Diffidently worth a try if you just want to get out for a couple hours and its on your way home.
The Golf Club at McKinney
Played On 10/3/2013Great value
This course is a challenge, the tee boxes are tight and the Greens are in good shape and soft to land on. The guys in the pro shop wanted to be there and were very engaging. The only real problem on the course was the sand. The bunkers were very inconsistent to the point that my foursome would vote on wether the other players had to play from the bunker depending on the condition of the individual bunker. That being said, it's the only thing I can say bad about the course and it looked like they are getting ready to do some work on them. In summary any weekday tee time under 30 dollars is worth it and you will feel like you got a deal.
I couldn't have said it better myself!! Come check us out throughout the winter as we progress with repairing our bunkers!
