Love the layout and pace of play but didn’t love not knowing the course had been recently aerified. Course will be in fantastic shape in a couple weeks as the turf conditions were great minus having the aerification holes. Greens were wildly inconsistent because of the aerification and the weather the prior week. Some greens were decently smooth with the aerification holes filled in with sand well. Others buried in sand. Others just hole sand no sand. Aerification is a necessary evil and I know the weather has been poor this week... just wish it was communicated prior to playing. I’ll be back, as it’s a great course and conditions are historically good.

Course design is unique with the bunkering style and hills that are uncommon to FL. Greens Complexes are challenging. Greens were perfect health and aesthetics but on the slow side which was fine as they have a ton of movement in them. Course is definitely transitioning from the ryegrass to Bermuda in the fairways and tees so it is very thin and you have to play lift clean and replace. It didn’t bother me as I know it is a necessary evil in CF but something guests should be aware of. Got a $25 bounce back so I look forward to returning in a couple months when the course has had a chance to recover from the winter.

The course conditions were good. Greens looked good and rolled true but were on the slow side. Nice layout that goes through the Forest. Only negative to that was the lack of air movement as it was stagnant and hot, but that’s not a knock on the course. Had a great time playing the course!

Course was in very nice shape. Haven’t played here since the renovation and enjoyed the changes. Greens can be challenging based on pin locations but fair. Staff was very friendly at the bag drop, outside service, and snack bar.

Was blown away with the course and facility! Course design was awesome. Conditions phenomenal. Staff outstanding.

First time playing it and I want to get back and play again. So many interesting holes. Elevation change, mounding, trees, and rock formations make this course a must play.

I played the General’s Retreat Course and was very impressed with the condition and facility. A couple negatives were lack of greeting when dropping off clubs. Having to load and unload my clubs. Could use a few more staff members for greeting and experience. The biggest negative was that the price was the same all day... whether playing early morning or afternoon. I played later in the day when much hotter which usually results in a lower rate.

I have been fortunate enough to have visited some of the nicest courses in the US and I would put the conditioning, design, and experience up against any of them. Only thing that could have been better was the weather which was windy and rainy. The greens were rolling very true and moderately quick, especially considering the rainy conditions. Tees, Fairways, and Rough were all beautifully manicured with overseeded ryegrass, Bunkers were not perfect but acceptable, as I expect them to be a hazard. The surroundings created by all of the trees and water features is spectacular. If you ever have the opportunity to play here it will not disappoint. Awesome job by the Superintendent and his team as well as the proshop staff.

I truely enjoyed playing this course. It was in very nice shape. Fairways and Tees were nice with overseeded ryegrass while the greens rolled true and smooth, even though an abundance of ball marks. Staff in Proshop met my expectation while the outside staff exceeded. Course has a great layout and is very picturesque. Look forward to playing again next time I’m in LV.

Course was in great shape overall. A few tight tee shots but overall a very easy course with wide fairways and few bunkers. Very enjoyable to play. Greens were in phenomenal shape.

A course that is always in great shape with wide fairways, minimal bunkers and smooth greens. Great for families, beginner golfers, or someone just looking to have a great time.

Joined a few friends for our last round of 2017 on New Years Eve. Course was busy but pace of play was great. There were groups ahead of us and behind us but we never had to wait and no one was waiting on us. Finished our round in just over 4 hours.

Course conditions were phenomenal. Overseeded tees, fairways, and approaches were picturesque. Greens rolled very smooth, true, and quick.

Saw the beverage girl twice on each nine which is always great.

Looking forward to playing again in 2018!

I have played many times in the past at various times of year and course conditions are always top notch and the service is second to none.

If you are looking for a nicely maintained, fair golf course to play this is it. Beautiful surroundings as well with abundant wildlife and nature. Makes for a perfect round of golf.

I have been fortunate enough to be able to play Grand Cypress's New Course at least once a year over the last 10 years and it is always in phenomenal shape.

Greens are quick and smooth, but very challenging as they have a lot of movement. I do not find this to be a negative but something to be aware of before playing. It is imperative to hit the ball on the green in the correct quadrant in order to score well.

None the less I always have a great time on the New Course and keep coming back. It is an experience that isn't replicated in Central Florida.

The North / South Course at Grande Cypress is a very challenging course which becomes easier the more you play it. for first time players it can be extremely difficult to know where to miss and the importance of knowing where to hit the ball on each green.

Greens are very undulated but in great shape and fast. Course condition couldn't be any better.

Really enjoyed playing the course. Pace of play was great as I did not have to wait on any holes even though there were many golfers. Course conditions were good. Greens had great pace and were smooth. The course is preparing to close for renovation soon so some areas were killed, but that did not affect the playing conditions, actually enhanced them in some cases, as you got a little more roll off the tee.

Looking forward to coming back after the renovation.

A course unlike any others in Florida.

The day I played the conditions were very windy, so windy you couldn't even wear a hat. The conditions of the course were outstanding, especially for better players who enjoy tighter lies and having to be creative. Only negative on the course condition side is a decent shot that may miss the green by inches may turn into a lost ball. Happened to me on a couple of occasions.

Pro shop staff was great. Asked them many questions regarding the property and future courses and they took the time to inform me.

Outside staff and caddies were sub-par. Outside staff was running around frantically. Caddies were not engaged in the round and seemed to rather be anywhere but there.

I would definitely come back in the future, especially hope to play the Red Course and future course(s). It is a place that every avid golfer would enjoy playing once, but may not feel the need to come back a second time.
