Victoria Park East Golf Club
Played On 10/21/2019Very nice course
Good variety of holes, greens are fast but true, fairly wide fairways.
Traditional design, no Mikey mouse hole.
You should try it.
Knollwood Golf Club - Old
Played On 07/24/2019Big drainage problem
I was a disappointed by the conditions offered by this course. I t is rated 4 stars on Golfnow I give it 2.
Even in a middle of July with almost no rain the previous days, some fairways were very wet at some places. My cart got stuck in the mud and we had to push it out.
I paid about $ 30 for 18 holes cart, fees and taxes included witch would be a good deal on normal conditions.
For me it isn't worth a 25 minute ride in the traffic.
I don't recommend this course
Carlisle Golf and Country Club - East/South
Played On 06/03/2019Nice golf course
Wide open on your tee shots , fun to play, good conditions.
No blind shots, no tricky design, what you see is what you get.
A little pricey, but I’ll come back for sure.
Chippewa Creek Golf and Country Club - Red Falcon/Gold Eagle
Played On 08/04/2015Great value
For the price I paid I was very happy with the course conditions and the facilities offered.
The course design is interesting, good variety of holes ( no succession of side by side long narrow holes ).
However I didn't see any beverage cart or marshal on the course that day.
Grand Niagara Golf Club - The Rees Jones Course
Played On 10/28/2013Worth the drive
Great course still in pretty good condition even on the 28th of October, pretty wet fairways though, not many leaves on the course.
Great design, great staff
I'll be back next year in summer time
Mystic Golf Club
Played On 10/15/2013Great course, but 2 holes need ajustement
It is a great design, lots of really nice holes, especially on the back nine.
I have played this course twice this year and both times the course was in a very good condition.
It is a tough course but holes 9 and 10 are unfair!
Number 9 is a 426 yard par 4 with a huge fairway bunker in the middle of the fairway at 220 from the tee box leaving you about 15 yards each side of that bunker to land safely.
This hole is tough enough without that fairway bunker!
Number 10 is very long par 5 even though you hit a really good tee shot, on your second shot, you got to hit at least 210 to carry a creek; most of the time you are forced to lay up and play for the boggy.
The tee box should be closer to the creek.
Burlington Springs Golf Club
Played On 5/8/2013Fun to play but too many big trees in the middle of the fairways
Nice old course, not specially challenging but you are better off staying on the fairway; the rough is long...
Greens were in good condition as the rest of the course, although I can't qualify it as pristine.
I had fun and will be back for sure.
The only negative thing I can say about this course; is about the giant trees in the middle of the fairway on three holes. You can hit a good drive and have to chip aside on your second shot because your ball is too close to a tree. On a short par four or a par five it is not too bad, but on a long par four it is totally unfair. The fairway should be wider each side of these trees to give you a break...
Dragon's Fire Golf Club
Played On 5/6/2013Nice course worth a try
I like the design, no holes similar to others, fun to play but not easy
Not in top condition but will improve as the season advances
I'll play it again
Hidden Lake Golf Club - Old Course
Played On 5/3/2013Deserve 4 stars
I liked:
Course in very good condition even tough there is one temporary green ( all the others were fine )
Full staff; starter, marshal, cart girls
Excellent practice facilities; range, chipping and bunker area, putting green
I didn't liked:
Slow play ( almost 5 hours )
Mowers all around us for at least 3 holes on a busy Friday afternoon
Some holes very close to each other, almost dangerous on hole number 13 and 14
Suggestion to speed up play:
Cut the grass shorter in the rough ( almost 6 inches long some place ). We lost 2 balls in there and spent too much time looking for balls.
Indian Wells Golf Club
Played On 1/4/2013Small greens, narrow fairways, shot making course, challenging
Played May First course very wet and muddy especially back nine; drainage problem on some holes.
Greens in good condition but a little slow, lucky I was because they are very hilly.
It is worth a try but bring your A game. If you are not in control of your ball flight it's gonna be a long day...
Nice scenery at reasonable price.
Reminds us of some of the classic parkland designs. What you see is what you get! Thanks
