Pinetuck Golf Course
Played On 07/30/2022Still open?
I'm surprised this place is still open. It has had no money put into it in years and it would seem they don't have anyone that knows how to take care of a golf course working there. The fairways and tee boxes are both overgrown and lacking grass in places. There is no definition between the fairways and the rough on most holes and the greens or what's left of the greens are so soft that balls plug in them while the rest of the green is hard and baked and looks like a desert. Carts are in bad shape and couldn't make the full 18 holes. Paid 25 and still felt like I over paid.

My friends and I love this course. The staff is amazing and the course is always in beautiful shape. You will not find a better course for the price in the Carolinas. There is nothing negative i could say about this place.
We played saturday morning and the course was under frost delay. The staff called ahead to let me know but i was coming from an hour away so i was already on my way to warm up. When i arrived they allowed us to start infront of a few groups which actually got us off before our original time. The course was in perfect condition even after snow a freezing temps over the previous days.
Go play this course if you get a chance. You will end up coming back im sure!

The only thing that was good was the greens. The fairways and tee boxes however need some work. The big issue i had was that the people running the course had allowed several groups of 5 and 6 players go out causing us to wait 10 mins between every shot. Those groups were loud from start to finish and there was someone yelling every time i was swinging. This made the round unenjoyable. The cost was good but i will not be back. I would rather play somewhere it does not take 5 plus hrs to finish a round and where you don't have drunks yelling all over the course. No food in tiny clubhouse either.
Pay more somewhere you can actually enjoy your round

The green are in good shape but that's the only nice thing i have to say.
The fairways are mixed grass and weeds and no different from the rough. The layout is not great and does not offer much variety. Pace of play is hit or miss but usually slow. There are much nicer courses to play for the same rate or less.
This is usually a last option for a last minute decision to play. Not somewhere i would recommend if you are looking for a good course or even value. Its basically a driving range of 18 holes.

The greens were nice and in decent condition but the rest of the course starting on the driving range is in terrible shape. They're obviously not putting any money into this place. There is no defined fairways and patches of grass and weeds all mixed together all over the course. Not really much else to be said. 10 minutes away there's a course in similar condition you can play all day long for a flat $10. Discourse is not worth anything above 20 dollars.

Been before and nothing new. Green look a little better in some places and worse in others. Rest of the place is just more and more run down.

The price was low but still not worth it. The staff was ok but almost ignored us. the real problem was the course conditions. It had not rained in 4-5 days but the fairway grass was long and so were the greens. Not to mention the greens had ball marks all over and were covered in bare spots. There was mud all over the place from over watering everything.
The fairways did not have a consistent grass type but were mostly crabgrass with weeds all over too. There are not cart paths on most holes so there are trench marks from tires all over due to it being wet in low areas. Then on high ground many times you would hit the ball and leave a normal divot but get sand in your face as it was so loose below the grass.
The tee boxes were mostly loose dirt.
I went once before and had been told they were getting it back in shape but it is actually much worse now. I would not recommend anyone waste there money.
If they spent the money and got a grounds crew that knew what they were doing this could be a good course as the layout is pretty good but it is just a rundown dump at this point.
