Turtle Creek Golf Club
Played On 10/29/20224 stars isn’t enough.
…and it’s very hard for me to give 5 stars, but Turtle Creek is in extremely nice shape, tee to green.
The available driving range is NOT at the course club house. Literally a tenth of a mile down the main road. A very nice all grass tee range is available, and a very nice amount of balls for $10 was a pleasant surprise.
Starter made a point about no driving in the rough. Entire course in as good as I’ve seen anywhere, for any price. 95% tee to green. A couple tee boxes could use a leveling off, but very little to complain about.
Got out 30 minutes late due to a frost delay, but played in 4.5 hours. Acceptable for a weekend. Someday I’ll par the par 5 18th.
Wyncote Golf Club
Played On 10/21/2022Awesome, Totally Awesome!
Played the Friday before the club championship, and it was everything and more then expected. Wyncote is always fabulous, but today was even better. Great weather, great conditions and the fabulous layout mad for another great round. The Hot deal I got was icing on the cake. Always play Wyncote when you can!! ALWAYS!!!!
Gambler Ridge Golf Club
Played On 09/18/2022One down, one to go
Will go back to play the sister course. Being over an hour away, the deal would have to be great.
Greens probably best part. A lot of raised greens. 70% tee to green.
Jonathan's Landing Golf Course
Played On 09/17/2022Always above average
We make the hour trip once a year to play here. Always above average tee to green, and this year was no different. 80-85% all around. A lot of nice grass to hit from and the one bunker I was in was great. Almost holed out from left side bunker on 8.
Back to back par 5s to start, then 16 and 17 are your other par 5s. Front 9 more open. Back has short par4s with hills and swails . Par 3s on the back are legit in length from blue tees that play 6100+ yards. Like all golf, hit good shots and you can score. Greens were as slow as they always seem to be for us. In very nice shape, but historically on the slower then they look side.
We generally play on the hot deal and pay under $50, and will see Johnathons landing again next year.

Played On 09/01/2022Hot, hot summer
I love playing Tangelwood, but unfortunately the conditions have slipped over this summer. It’s still a good course, and the people who work there make you feel welcome.
White Clay Creek Country Club at Delaware Park
Played On 08/28/2022Hard summer
The summer has taken a small toll on overall conditions. That being said, still one of the best places to play in northern Delaware. 5+ hour rounds in heat and humidity never helps.
Garrisons Lake Golf Club
Played On 08/27/2022Getting better
Played a few weeks ago an was surprised of the first 2 holes being par 3s and then the general overall conditions after that. Booked as a 2 some the night before for 11am. Played in 3 hours after going thru 1 group on the back 9. Thanks again fellas!!
First 2 holes haven’t changed. It is what it is an I suppose it will be better in the long run.
The continuing work is showing results. Noticed more bunker reshaping and rebuilding in process. Fairways are 80%+ very nice. The greens and bunkers are above average. Looks better then I came ever remember in my 15+ years playing here. Very open and generally flat. Just off the fairways is a bit rough in some areas.
Tough par 3s and some of the longer 4s around, make it an honest course to play.Catching an occasional hot deal and improving conditions make Garrisons very welcoming at this time . Actually, playing again next Saturday. I do recommend.
PineCrest Country Club
Played On 08/25/2022Nothing average and don’t believe the scorecard
Played for the first time., I only remember the HORRENDOUS pace, the group in front of us that did not let a solo player play thru for 9 holes, and the fact that the scorecard isn’t honest.
As we were about to tee off, a single player came up and said the starter said to head out. We did the right thing ( we thought) and let him go, in the hopes he would be able to continue thru the groups ahead of him. We ended up having to wait on every tee box on the front 9 because the single player was never asked to play thru. Almost a 3 hour front 9. Noticed the single player must have gotten thru at the turn. Still waited on every tee box. Talked to the ranger. He said there is a group in front of them.
Got to 14th tee. The single player was on the 17 th tee box. He said he only passed 1 other group. So, 2 groups on 3 holes ahead of us. Skipped the slow 4some on the par 3 15th. Played the last 3 holes an finished in over 5 hours.
Greens and bunkers were good. Tee boxes and fairways were hit and miss.Good or bad.. Nothing to me was average.
The scorecard says blue tees are the tips, and play at over 6300. That is simply not true. Anyone with a GPS can easily figure out Pinecrest plays only to the 6100 of the white tees posted on the card. Every single blue tee was what the white tee distance said, with no possible way of moving the back further. The whites were probably about 5500 yards at the most.
I don’t see me returning. From reading past reviews, pace of play is a constant problem. I also can’t believe no one else mentioned or noticed the lies on the scorecard. I would only recommend if you haven’t played it before, then make up your own mind. I got my logo ball. I’m done here.
Pinelands Golf Club
Played On 08/20/2022Pilgrim's Oak Golf Course
Played On 08/19/2022Long hot summer
The weather and I’m sure the course itself has been hot. Signs of ware and tear are showing. A few boxes were thin on grass and could use a leveling. Greens fast.
Always well above average keeps me making the hour+ drive a few times a year. Can get an occasional deal here too. Recommend to anyone and everyone
Inniscrone Golf Club
Played On 08/07/2022Practice round
Played fast till the 12 th hole, then hit a wall. Congratulations are ok. Greens this in spots, but fast overall.
Today was the day i finally played the tips on the par 3 8th. 235 yards. Driver off the tee, pin high right, up and down for par!! Will never get better then that for me.
Thank you for taking the time to review us! Your feedback is valuable, and we look forward to delivering you excellent service again soon. Inniscrone Golf Club thanks you!
The Wetlands Golf Course
Played On 08/06/2022Can’t beat a deal at The Wetlands!
I’ve always liked it. It is a bit back and forth in places, but I’ve found over the years playing here, it’s always worth playing for a hot deal. ( a couple times a year)
Friendliness has occasionally been an issue here, but not this time. Sorry I don’t remember his name, but he explained the new OB markers that are on the course very clearly, and joked that, yes, they look like road cones. Only about 4-6 inches in diameter and about 3-4 feet tall. Orange and a band of white on top, capped with orange. It does CLEARLY define OB. I like the idea.
It’s not called Wetlands for nothing. Some areas were very moist. I’ve found it’s always been fun to play with enough challenge to not get bored.greens were above average and the bunkers were above average for what I’ve seen in places.. Will come back again “When the price is right!!”
Duck Hollow Golf Club
Played On 07/30/2022Pros and cons
Very hilly. About 70% tee to green. Greens probably best part.
The 2 female employees I encountered were spectacular. I read reviews about players here and agree.I had a 7:30 am. Was told I could go off anytime I’m ready. . Met 2 players at tee with the 7:20. Wasn’t asked to play with or go ahead.. Noticed players going off the 10th tee. Why,?? I guess because they could. Knew this was going to be a problem at the turn. Got to 10 tee, 3 sets of players with concert tee shirts waiting to go. I blew off the 10th hole. Ran into a single player walking on 14. On 16, Was waived up by the player walking, as I also was a single. I tried to waive him off as I was in no hurry and I felt I wasn’t pressuring him at all. Then he says he doesn’t like being chased. I told him I didn’t want to come up but you seemed to insist. “ Yet here we are. “ You called me up buddy. I was fine. Anyway.
Played here because the early time and I was traveling. With the hot deal and tee time credits, I practically paid nothing. I’m a believer in playing anyplace once. I’m done here.
Inniscrone Golf Club
Played On 07/11/2022A personal favorite
Been playing Inniscrone as long as It’s been open to the public. Overall conditions are a bit under expectations. Tee boxes are below average and some of the greens are very thin on grass.
I do like that they spread the tee times at 15 minutes apart. Played in just under 4 hours while never seeing the group in front or behind us. Also, missed an ace on the 5th hole by 18 inches. Did make the birdie putt.
Hi, we appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. Thank you for the 4 stars! We aim for a 5-star experience, so we always welcome feedback for improvement. Thank you for playing Inniscrone Golf Club.
Turtle Creek Golf Club
Played On 07/10/20225 years later
Second straight week I’ve played a place I haven’t played in over 5 years. Everything 90%+ probably the best bunkers I’ve seen in a long time! A 5 hour round always takes away from the overall pleasant experience.
Royal Oaks Golf Club
Played On 07/04/2022First new course of the year
Having played a while now, I have to take a road trip to play a new track. On the 4th of July, I was able to make the nearly 2 hour trip to play Royal Oaks. Had no plans and the Hot deal was too good to pass up.
Having read reviews for years, and recently, I felt like I knew what to expect. And I wasn’t surprised about anything. The course is a 4+ star facility. Tee to green, 85-90% all around. Greens were above average with not too many pitch marks. Good work EVERYONE!! Some bunkers were nothing more then dirt and pebbles, while others had sand in them, and yet even more had been converted into grass areas. Seemed about 2 dozen or so are now grass in some strategic areas. I would have loved to seen/played here before the change over.
Relatively flat with a slope averaging in the one teens, it’s fairly wide open for play. Some water comes into play. 3 of each of pars on the front 9 (3s,4s,5s) Back 9 a little more target golf needed. Probably why it took half an hour longer then the front. Still finished in 4.5 . For the holiday, better then expected.
One last story. The 3 some of dudes I played with, all went in at the turn for refreshments of one kind or another. The bill came to $17.76!!! Absolutely the truth. Very enjoyable holiday round.
Garrisons Lake Golf Club
Played On 07/03/2022Been 5 years
Can’t believe it, but 5 years. The first 2 holes are shrunk down from a par 5 and 4 , to 2 short holes under 150 yards each. Would have been nice to know prior to playing. After that, fairways are in above average shape. Same with basically complete course. Greens ran slow due to overnight rain. Will definitely NOT be 5 years before returning.
White Clay Creek Country Club at Delaware Park
Played On 06/30/2022One of the best around!!
WCCCC is always a treat and pleasure to play. When you can catch a hot deal, it’s a no brainer.
The greens were insanely fast.
Delcastle Golf Course
Played On 06/26/2022Solid shape
Playing here for 5 decades, I’ve seen Delcastle in all conditions. Currently, in as good of shape as it’s been in years. Greens are full, but a bit slower then expected. Tee boxes and bunkers were mostly good with a few exceptions.
A 5+ hour round should never happen. It completely takes away from enjoying the day when your waiting on almost EVERY shot.
Hello, andrewcipolla. Thank you for visiting us at Gambler Ridge Golf Club. We appreciate your 4-star rating and review. We hope you join us for another round soon.
