Bent Creek Golf Course
Played On 01/10/2024Previous day heavy rain caused soggy fairways
The fairways were in good condition however kind of soggy in lower spots thanks to heavy rain on previous day. Greens were pretty good overall but as always difficult to read breaks. Some tee areas were in below par condition with little grass. Course is very challenging with a variety of holes to test your entire game.
La Cita Country Club
Played On 02/16/2024Fun and challenging layout
Second time playing La Cita CC and my opinion is about the same as before. The course layout is fun and challenging to play with plenty of hazards (water and sand) to keep it interesting. The Bermuda grass fairways are suffering and in need of some loving care and recuperation. The tee areas and greens are very suitable for this time of year. Some of the concrete cart paths are broken up so just drive slowly over those spots. The staff is friendly and helpful. I took a few photos this time around.
La Cita Country Club
Played On 01/30/2024Challenging layout fun to play
I found La Cita CC challenging and fun to play. There were plenty of hazards to avoid. The greens had recently been aerated so putting was just a little bumpy. Fairways were ok but I had to lift and clean dirt from the ball quite often. Maybe some recent heavy rain. Tee boxes had new grass coverage and looked great. Old concrete cart paths show their age due to settling and tree roots. I recommend this course and will play here again soon.
Stonebridge Golf Club of New Orleans - Championship Course
Played On 09/16/2023Nice course that doesn’t break the bank
Played this course once before and was pleased with the overall experience so I was in the area again and found a great rate for 18 holes with cart on Golf Now. Upon arrival checked in at the pro shop and asked about the other 3 that booked the same time on Golf Now. Was told I was solo so off I went on my own. The course condition was not bad but some fairways had dead grass bare areas so I would just move my ball to the nearest grassy area. Both sand tubes on the cart were empty so I was not able to fill divots. The greens were in good condition and rolled well. Tee areas were a little better than average. All in all I enjoyed playing the course again. Staff was friendly and helpful when needed.
Trident Lakes Golf Club
Played On 06/29/2023A good choice
Budget golf at its best! Tees, fairways and greens in good condition. Miss the fairway and you might get penalized with a poor lie. Areas around the greens had good grass coverage. Sand traps had powdery sand. Just sucks when your ball ends up in a footprint someone didn’t bother to rake. Greens had been sanded recently so there was some of that remaining but greens still rolled well. Course layout is challenging with several water hazards and a good variety of shots to contend with. Another positive experience for me. Worth the 43 mile drive from my home in Jacksonville.
Logan River Golf Course
Played On 05/08/2023Wonderful
I found this golf course to be a challenging layout with plenty of different shots encountered. I was amazed at the course condition considering it had been covered in snow for 6 months and just opened for the season. The grass was so green! The tees, fairways and greens were all good. Plenty of ball washers. Driving range was good as was the practice putting green. It was a good experience.

Played On 04/20/2023Challenging yet fun
43 mile drive from my home in Jacksonville and worth the travel time and fuel with the discounted Golf Now Hot Deal rate and my monthly tee time credit. The course was in pretty good condition overall and I found it to be quite challenging. I think there was a water cooler and ball washer at just about every tee area. Very friendly staff in the pro shop and out on the course. It was a good experience.
The First Tee of North Florida - Brentwood Golf Course
Played On 01/23/2023Wintertime condition issues
Greens, tees, and fairways suffering right now. Hopefully when spring comes around the conditions will improve. For the most part, putting on the greens was ok but some problem spots do get in the way. Somehow I managed to shoot a personal best even par with only 30 putts so making putts was possible. Still a good value if you just want to get out and play without paying a small fortune.
Blue Cypress Golf Club
Played On 04/02/2023Much room for improvement
This course needs a lot of work. Tees and fairways were not good, lots of bare dirt with some grass areas. Same with fringes on most greens. Most of the greens had a good cover of grass but 2 or 3 had weed issues. Greens were so firm a ball landing on the green left no divot and it usually ended up going off the back even on well lofted shots. I normally hit 65% or so of greens in regulation but today my percentage was near 25. Not a great experience and won’t go back anytime soon. I’ll stick with the other “budget minded” course in town.
Stonebridge Golf Club of New Orleans - Championship Course
Played On 10/20/2022Enjoyed the air show
To explain the title, while playing there were 3 or 4 F-15 fighters doing maneuvers overhead from an adjacent military base. They would take off then go into a turn right over the course, return to the base then repeat. Quite exciting. Anyway, the golf course was somewhat challenging with a few interesting holes. Many of the holes were just straight away, hit a drive then wedge to the green. Lots of water on many holes to catch wildly errant shots. Greens were not that great as most had a lot of weeds mixed in. I would play again if given the opportunity. Good value especially with the air show.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the team. Thanks for visiting Stonebridge Golf Club of New Orleans - Championship Course, and we hope to see you again soon.
The First Tee of North Florida - Brentwood Golf Course
Played On 09/02/2022Tee boxes need help!
This course is for the budget minded golfer that just wants to get out and play some golf. The tee boxes are suffering however and need help. The fairways are very playable for the most part. The greens roll good but they suffer from unrepaired ball divots. Is there such an emphasis on speed of play these days that taking 30 seconds to repair your ball divot and maybe another is just a thing of the past? Despite these issues I think this course is still a good value for the price.
Joseph M. Bartholomew Golf Course
Played On 08/17/2022Nice public course to play
Very friendly staff inside and outside. Range was closed "due to recent rainfall" so could not loosen up. Nice practice green for putting but no chipping allowed, even bump and run. On the course the fairways had not been cut recently and there was a mix of grasses and or weeds but still playable. The rough had a mix of stuff too and was also uncut probably because of the recent rainfall. The greens had recently been punched and sanded over but rolled well. I was just visiting the area and did not find New Orleans very appealing so most likely will not return but if I were a local or visitor looking for a decent and budget friendly golf course to play I do recommend it.
The First Tee of North Florida - Brentwood Golf Course
Played On 06/29/2022Budget golf at its best
Good layout provides a variety of shots and challenges. Greens well maintained and rolled well. Fairways were average yet playable. Tee areas needed some help but with a little effort a good spot could be found. Great practice facility with a range, chipping and putting green. Easy on the wallet especially with the lower rates available at specified times each day.
Pascagoula Country Club
Played On 12/28/2021Horrible condition
This poor golf course obviously has not been maintained. After driving 30 miles from Biloxi I was greatly disappointed with what I saw in the first 2 holes and almost headed back to the "pro shop" for a refund (I paid the course directly for 18 holes). Everything from tee to green on every hole was horrible. Lots of weeds everywhere. See attached pics. Practice putting green was out of commission and I don't think the driving range was open. Will not go back to play this course even if they paid me. I have played golf over 50 years and this was the least maintained course I have played. Waste of money even at GolfNow rate. Don't be fooled by the "country club" in the name. I guess it qualifies to be a "country club" because there was a swimming pool and dining available for "members" of the club?

Hillcrest Golf Club at Sun City West
Played On 11/07/2021Fairways and greens a little too hairy
Visiting the area from Florida so I don't know how they maintain the courses in Arizona in the fall season. The fairway grass height was more like a first cut of rough. The greens had not been cut recently either so they were very slow but for the most part rolled ok. The most noticable problem is how the ignorant golfers don't repair their ball divots on greens or fill their fairway divots with sand which was provided on the cart. Greens had unrepaired ball divots all over. Liked the layout but maybe should have played the white tees to compensate for the fairways.
Hidden Hills Golf Course
Played On 09/15/2020Challenging layout
Course is well designed and challenging. I enjoyed the track. Condition was good. Last 3 or 4 holes got log jammed for some reason. Playing partner thought he was on the driving range and would hit 2 or 3 extra balls after almost each shot that ended up in the woods or water. He must have lost 50 - 60 balls and hit over 200 shots over the 18 holes. Hard to watch and keep focused on your own game so my play suffered. Not blaming the course. Would like to play again in the future hopefully with less distraction.
Hi, we appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. Thank you for the 4 stars! We aim for a 5-star experience, so we always welcome feedback for improvement. Thank you for playing Hidden Hills Golf Course.

I enjoyed playing this course for the first time and hope to return again soon. Had some difficulty putting due to recent plugging. Everything about this facility was good.
Golf Club At Fleming Island
Played On 08/12/2020Former landfill??
After playing this course for the first time with much anticipation of a good experience I must say I was not impressed. Apparently this course is played often by beer drinking slobs that just toss their empty cans into the swampy wooded areas along each hole. Never seen anything like it on any other course in 50 years of golfing. The golf course itself was in good shape considering the enormous amount of rain lately. I did not care for the layout as it was difficult on some holes to figure out where to aim. So just hit and hope. Greens were rolling good but very difficult to read. I was 2 over on putts alone. Guy at check in not helpful at all when asked a question. Friendliest staff person was the young man cleaning the carts after the round. He actually made me feel welcome and appreciated. I most likely will not drive the 35 miles again even at a hot rate deal.
Whispering Woods Golf Club
Played On 07/10/2020Not bad for budget minded golfers
Being a budget minded golfer this course suited me just fine. Yes the cart paths are rough in many areas but just slow down over the bumps and you will survive. The tee boxes and fairways were in good shape. Played the ball down the entire 18. The greens were not PGA tour quality but rolled good and I managed to make a few good putts. Shot a 78 with a triple bogey, a double bogey and 2 birds. I would play this course again if in the area in the future.
Magnolia Point Golf & Country Club
Played On 06/17/2020Liked the layout
Enjoyed the layout and surroundings. Greens were puttable but had recently been mistreated (?) and the grass was suffering allowing some weeds to invade. Hope they can get that problem under control soon before the weeds take over. The tee boxes, fairways and sand traps were fine. Water hazards were not difficult to negotiate. I will come back for a second look soon.
