We had a tee time for 11:30, but were able to go early. Tee boxes were well marked, though we struggled to understand why the markers with the hole numbers were not facing the direction that the golfers were approaching. Fairways were in great shape and greens were fast. Rough was very punitive. Bunkers were variable. Some were good, but others were hard and rocky. Pro shop had almost no inventory, and they are apparently trying to find a vendor to run their restaurant which is too bad.

We have played here before, but it was pre-pandemic. They have completed some work on the course since. The fairways are fairly wide and the rough wasn't particularly punitive. Plenty of water and sand. The greens are huge leaving the chance of really long putts. The cart ride from the Lagos nine to the Cielo nine is really long. Don't be surprised by it.

Staff were friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back.

We hadn't played here since before the pandemic. My wife and I decided to give it a try. They have been advertising new management. We had a 9:37 tee time. We hit a few balls on the range. We hadn't seen anyone go off, so we teed off around 9:30. We never saw another golfer. The course was mainly in great shape. Fairways didn't have many brown patches, and the greens were very well tended. Some of the bunkers needed a bit more sand, but otherwise it was really good. The course isn't a pushover. 18 is a particularly challenging hole. We thoroughly enjoyed our round.

Course was in pretty good shape, though greens had been punched fairly recently and were still a little bumpy. We had a 9:45 tee time, and we just encountered one single who we let play through on the back nine. This is pretty much a grip it and rip it course. If you hit it fairly straight, the only real defense is some bunkers and the length of the holes. An enjoyable round worth the money.

Played here this morning. My wife and I let a twosome play through because it looked like they were going to push us. No one else ahead or behind the rest of the round. We finished in 3 hours. For late summer the course was in pretty good shape. Greens were fast and true. Only criticism is that the bunkers were like concrete. Otherwise an enjoyable round.

We hadn't played here since before the pandemic. The course was in god shape. Greens were pretty fast. We had an incredibly slow foursome in front of us (just our bad luck). I was surprised that there was no drinking water on the course, though we were able to get water at the Cafe at the turn. We'll play here again- but we'll bring extra water!

My wife and I have lived in the Coachella valley for five years, but remarkably hadn't played this course. We are so glad we did. The course in interesting: Pretty wide fairways, but plenty of water and sand. For July in the desert, conditions on the course were very good. Greens were fairly fast and true. It can be a long haul between holes, particularly to the 1st hole on the Cielo course.

The staff here is wonderfully helpful and friendly from the pro shop to the cart staff to the delightful server who looked after us in the restaurant after our round. Great experience all around!

I was impressed that improvements (new bunkers) have been added. Most courses seem to be cutting back out of fear that fewer people are playing the game. I would like to see a bit more attention to those bunkers, many of which were like concrete. Overall an enjoyable experience.

My wife and I really enjoy this course. Except for some bunkers that could use fresh sand, it's in good condition. The areas adjacent to the course could use some attention, but some of this might reflect more on the HOAs. One negative is having to cross roadways multiple times. Overall an enjoyable experience.

Interesting mix of longer and shorter holes. Plenty of interest for the intermediate golfer. Big hitters and low handicappers might be bored, but there are plenty of courses for them in the desert.

Got a nice deal to play this course fairly near our home. We were pleasantly surprised. The course was in excellent shape. Quite a bit of water and a number of challenging holes (especially 18).

Old school course. It's short, but not a pushover. Conditions are generally good, though the bunkers are like concrete. Seriously in need of some new sand.

My wife and I spend a few days in Borrego Springs in late April after the majority of the tourists and snowbirds go home. We played three days in the late morning/early afternoon and nearly had the course to ourselves. There are a variety of tees for varying abilities. Course is well-bunkered but not ridiculous. Course conditions were superb. Practice area includes a driving range, 2 putting greens and a nice short game area. We loved it!

My wife and I really like this course. However, we played yesterday and the fairways were in abysmally bad shape. Frequently we found ourselves hitting shots from the middle of the fairway off of bare dirt. The greens were in excellent shape - faster than the 9 advertised in my opinion.

The staff here is great. Always friendly and helpful.

It was also a little annoying that we had a parade of antsy singles behind us insisting on playing through, but this isn't the golf course's fault.

I recommend trying tthis course, but wait until overseeding is complete in the fall.

Though we live in the Coachella valley, we hadn't gotten around to playing here until yesterday. I would have to say that this course has the most friendly and welcoming staff of any course we have played here. We played on a warm afternoon and virtually had the course to ourselves. The course itself is reasonably challenging. Landing areas are wide, but greens are usually protected by often challenging, deep bunkers or water. The greens themselves were in very good shape with a lot of contours that seldom allowed easy putts. We thoroughly enjoyed this course and will definitely be back.
