No Raincheck Policy

Players- Be Aware!!! The only course I've ever played that does not allow Rainchecks. While on vaca, my 75 yr old father, two cuzn's and I played Bear Creek on Sat May 28. Unbeknownst to me, our tee time was the last before best ball tourney. The group behind us hit into us all day but we remained one shot behind the group ahead of us and had no where to go. On number 8 the skies opened up and there was a torrential downpour. We played 9 in a formidable rain and then went to clubhouse to check weather. The gentleman working behind the bar told us that there was a storm that settled in on the coast and there was no break in sight for weather. We had lunch and tried to wait out the storm but after 1 1/2 hrs decided to go ask for a Raincheck to which the bartender told us "Good luck, I've never seen anyone get a Raincheck from Bear Creek". I went in and spoke to Ben in the clubhouse and to my amazement he said, "As long as there is no lightning and imminent danger to anyone's health, I can not give a Raincheck." Still taken aback, I tried to reason with him to no avail." "You knew the risk you took when you booked the tee time." My advice- Stay Away from Bear Creek....
