PGA WEST Jack Nicklaus Tournament Course
Played On 11/16/2023Nice course but is it worth the price?
Very nice course amd we played on a Golfnow hot deal. Was very nice and at least you know when you go there that it will be. Worth the full price, I think not. Not even sure it’s worth the Hot deal price.
Course was in good condition but the fairways were shaggy. Zero roll so play one set of tees up from where you normally do.
Golf Club At Terra Lago - South Course
Played On 11/28/2022Flintstone golf
Don’t play the south course. A very tight, difficult and unfair course. Dried out fairways. Rocks and sand. I had an unplayable lie 3 ft off the green. It looks like they just threw sod down erratically around the greens and bunkers and are waiting for the sand to blow in and fill the gaps.
No cartgirl on course. We were told there was so we didn’t buy anything to take out on the course with us. Washrooms are scarce.
We called ahead to see if the range was open and we were told it was so we showed up early. It wasn’t.
Fool me once.
Not returning.
Glen Abbey Golf Club
Played On 08/01/2022Good conditions. Amazing practice area.
Course is in good condition unlike about 10 years ago.
Nice to see they have put it back into prime condition.
Amazing practice area built for the PGA tour players.
Staff was very nice.
Very much enjoyed my day.
Nobleton Lakes Golf Club - Lakes/View
Played On 07/30/2022Excellent condition
Haven’t played here in 20 or more years because it isn’t a convenient location for me.
Beautiful course. The course was in excellent condition. The staff were great. Didn’t eat there so can’t comment on the food or restaurant service.
I recommend ladies play from the yellow blocks not the reds unless they can consistently carry yardages over water without getting flustered.
My other half played the reds on the front and wanted to quit after 9. I convinced her to play the back off the yellows and from there she was okay.
I loved the challenge and there’s a few tight holes that you need to thread the needle. Bring your game.
Glen Abbey Golf Club
Played On 06/04/2022Good conditions for a change
Glenn Abbey is an amazing course that everyone should try to play a few times but do it when conditions are soft because they don’t tend to water the fairways and the greens get very hard. Balls don’t tend to stick on the greens. This is true of the greens when the pros play it too so it’s just the way it plays but the fairways could be better maintained. Same for the bunkers. The bunkers can be without enough sand and your club can bounce off the hard dirt underneath skulling the ball no matter how hard you hit down and it just depends on which bunker you’re in. It happened to a pro leading the Open a few years ago and he lost because of it.
Driving range could be better. They don’t move the area enough and sometimes there can be almost no grass to hit off.
Lol. Other than that I do really like playing the course because the design is amazing and it’s a beautiful picturesque amazing place to play.
PS: Better know how to play out of bunkers. There’s millions of them.
Heron Creek Golf and Country Club - Oaks/Marsh Course
Played On 05/19/2022Excellent experience
First time playing here.
Very much enjoyed it. Nice layout except one goofy hole on the back nine, maybe 11 or 12. Has almost no landing area for the drive. They need to clear out a bigger landing area on that hole.
The course has elevation changes unlike most Florida courses so it’s very interesting compared to the rest.
Our favourite course on our trip.

Panther Run Golf Club
Played On 05/15/2022Good conditions, generous fairways
Well conditioned and all around good value.
Nice staff although someone who worked there said they might kick us off at 6 pm so the staff could go home early on a Sunday night. Ticked me off since we were teeing off at 2:18. .
Course wasn’t busy and we finished by 6 so the issue never came up.
For full disclosure they say range balls are included but this is only a small warmup bag, maybe 20 balls. Two guys went off early and left me theirs so again not an issue.
Fairways are wide so a great course if you haven’t played in awhile or just want a stress free day.

Signed up as a single. They allowed my partners to go off early then offered to put me out on the course by myself during a busy day. Then gave me the option to put me with two beginners or go by myself. This was not fun. I played with the beginners who only planned to play 9 holes. They shared clubs.
Back nine I managed to play with a couple of players that were on a repeat round and tired. They lasted 6 holes then were too tired and rode back in.
The greens were excessively watered and very irregular.
Nice course. Just not being run by people with experience.
This is not always the case here. Just my experience that particular day.

Dragon's Fire Golf Club
Played On 07/27/2014A nice track for both men and women
The course seems to be quite liked by women as well as men. I'm guessing the tee blocks are in the right place for the women. A lot of courses seem to just put the lades blocks somewhere out of the way where it won't interfere with the mens games or power carts and are totally the wrong distances or angles to be fair. The staff were freindly. There is plenty of challenge here. I'm a six handicap and I usually play from the back but there are 4 sets of mens tees so you can dial it up or back. I found I don't need to play from the back here to get my fill. The couse was in great condition with the exception that the greens were heavily watered the night before so the groups in front left a lot of spike marks just due to heavy traffic. That was the only negative about the course. Made the short putts inconsistent. Pace of play was good. Steady and predictable. I have never seen a beer cart girl so often. We didn't even buy anything so it wasn't because we were dropping big tips. She just seemed to be around every few holes. I also walked the course and found it very walkable..
Not much of a clubhouse after all this time but the rest of the course is great including the practice area
King's Forest Golf Course
Played On 05/17/2014Fantastic layout, poor to average course conditions
Great layout and challenging. Demanding in accuracy, consistency and length if you play from the back (which few who know thecourse to). However it is a muni course and the fairways get pretty hard if it hasn't rained and the greens are always a little beat up from the fact it is a muni course. Greens tend to be bumpy. I go back a couple of times a year to be humbled and test my ball striking.
