Deep Springs Country Club
Played On 12/13/2020Really fun course, really rude pro shop
I will start with the good...
I really like this course. It is in great shape and the greens are some of the best in the area. It is a really fun layout with a variety of holes.
The bad...
I purchased a GroupGolfer for Deep Springs a while back and was really looking forward to getting up there to play. There were no time restrictions on the voucher as to when it could be used. I called on a Sunday to make a tee time for the following Sunday. I asked the guy what the earliest time they had available and he told me 10:33am. I booked that time for a foursome and life was good. I got to the course in plenty of time and when I checked in the gentleman in the pro shop told me I could not use the voucher until after 12. I said there are no time restrictions on the voucher. He told me there should be because they are a private club (They are not.) and morning times are reserved for members. After some more back and forth he agreed to honor the voucher THIS ONE time. As I was leaving the pro shop I heard him saying that GroupGolfer is ruining golf because it is essentially giving it away. I paid $25 for the voucher and walked. The walking rate when we teed off was $29. This gentleman then gave the same treatment to another player in our group for using the voucher. Don't put your course on GroupGolfer if you don't want people to use them.
Tot Hill Farm Golf Club
Played On 11/04/2018This course does not deserve the poor ratings it has been getting. The greens rolled true and had good pace. Sure some tee boxes need work but who plays a course for nice tee boxes? One fairway had a wet area remaining from all of the rain. Besides that this course is in really good shape.
Forest Oaks Country Club

Every time I play this course it gets better and better. The greens are rolling smooth and quick. There are still a few bad spots on the greens but they are much improved than the last time I played. I cannot recommend this course enough!

I absolutely love this course and love seeing it on the mend. The sedge is out of the greens and they had recently aerated and top dressed the greens when I played. Going around the course you can see all of the work being done to return this course to its former greatness.
Oak Valley Golf Club
Played On 11/29/2017I have heard nothing but great things about this course and it lived up to the hype. The greens were smooth and fast. I cannot wait to play there again.
Oak Hollow Golf Course
Played On 11/27/2017A great Pete Dye design in High Point, NC. The greens are rolling great right now!
Tot Hill Farm Golf Club
Played On 11/21/2017Tot Hill is coming around nicely. The greens are improving every time I play here. I love this course and can't wait to see it get back to the level it deserves to be.

Salem Glen Country Club
Played On 10/25/2017Perfect
Everything about this course was perfect. The kid in the clubhouse could not have been nicer and more helpful. Great experience and cannot wait to go back.
Tanglewood Golf Club - Championship Course
Played On 10/19/2017A Must Play
If you love the challenge of the game of golf this is the perfect course. Every green is protected by at least 3 bunkers.Tons of elevation change and blind tee shots. Buy a yardage book before going out so you have some idea of where to hit. The greens rolled quick and true. My only complaint is that the players playing the course need to have more pride and respect for this course. There were far to many pitch marks in the greens and scuff marks from shoes.
Country Club of Whispering Pines - Pines Course
Played On 10/17/2017An absolute great course all around. Greens were perfect and the rest of the course is in good shape as well.
Whispering Woods Golf Club
Played On 10/17/2017The greens were in good shape but the rest of the course needed some TLC.
Bryan Park Champions Course
Played On 10/11/2017Perfect
There isn't much to say about this course besides perfect.
Oak Hollow Golf Course
Played On 09/28/2017Greens were aerated on 9/25. Other than that the course is in great shape. It will be perfect once those recover.
Asheboro Country Club
Played On 09/27/2017Greens were still recovering from aeration a couple weeks ago. They were still a bit bumpy but overall were in good shape. Some greens however did have bare spots. The rest of the course was in very good shape. Definitely worth a round.
Tot Hill Farm Golf Club
Played On 09/26/2017Overall the course was in really good shape. The greens had some sort of weed in them but they are working hard to get rid of them. This course is on the mend and will be great very soon!
Meadowlands Golf Club
Played On 09/24/2017A Must Play
I was a little unsure about playing here after reading a recent review of this course but a friend of mine really likes it so I went with him. The review I read could not have been more wrong! This course is in great shape! The greens were slow but that is the only complaint I have. They are bent grass so I imagine they are having to keep them longer due to the warm weather.
Jamestown Park Golf Course
Played On 09/13/2017The course was in great condition. The greens are very firm and fast. That takes some getting used to when hitting approach shots into the greens.
My only complaint is that there is no starter monitoring who tees off when and where. As my group was finishing the front 9 there were groups teeing off on the back. That caused a severe log jam the entire back 9.
