I've played there before. Fairways and rough are in ok shape. Greens were in great shape. Fairly challenging but certainly not too challenging. I like the layout of several holes.

This course used to be in good shape and is very challenging. The clubhouse and bar have been remodeled and are very nice. Now if they can take better care of the course, which may happen in the future, it would be a top tough track in the area. The rates are reasonable, except for the $50 Golf Now rates I see occasionally. The course is worth $30 with the shape it's in and no more, so if you can get a deal less than that, it's probably worth it.

This course is on the longer side with some tight holes. No bunkers, but the length and fast greens make for a challenge if you don't have your A game. Played many times and is always in good shape.

This course is open but has nice greens. The practice green was slow, but the course greens are fast. As with any course, they have their unique holes. It's a bit far from me, but I'll play it once every other year or so as it provides a good challenge and different experience.

The course is decent for the value. Back 9 nicer than front. Front is a little short and is easier. I play this course every once in a while.

Love the mature, tall trees on this course, which makes for tight fairways with all of the overhang from the trees. Nice layout, good greens, good fairways. Greens mostly sloped which provides a challenge when putting, but greens not overly fast. Will play again.

I really enjoyed the track of this course. The trees, fairways, and layout made for an enjoyable, scenic, peaceful, fun round. The greens roll fast and true. On several holes, you can hear the sounds of the waves of Lake Erie. Provided a good challenge while still being enjoyable. Will definitely play again.

The back nine on this course is quite challenging. Plays up a hill and back down, which is pretty scenic. Greens are quick and undulated. The front nine is similar to the Woodside course, and the back nine is what makes it different.

This course has a nice layout and is very challenging. Tight fairways, fast greens, lots of trees and hills. You will lose a lot of balls unless you are dead straight with your shots. I love the layout and try to play it when I can, but it's a hike for me.

Some tight fairways, some open holes. Greens were extremely fast, but the course layout is basic, other than a few nice holes. Mostly wide open, but challenging with fast greens and long holes. I'd play it again for variety. Not much for course amenities, club house, etc.

Not a hilly course, and it is well-maintained. The greens were recently aerated so they were bumpy, slow, didn't roll true, and needed cut. Fairways are mostly tree-lined and well taken care of. I will play again.

Holes 11-16 are really nice holes. The problem with this course is that it isn't maintained. Lots of crab grass everywhere, even in the fairways. Tee boxes aren't always defined and are in bad shape, some are stuck somewhere in the crab grass without a defined level area. The pro shop is a shack. If it were properly maintained, it would be a nice course. $32 to ride 18 is a little steep given the course conditions. Will I play it again? Yeah, I'll force myself to play it once every 5 years because I like to re-play every course I've played before to mix things up. Hopefully next time its maintained better.

This course is an EXCELLENT course for $38 or less. The normal rate on weekends is $55, which is way too high. It's not a $55 course and didn't used to be. I think the price was increased to $55 because they built a resort hotel, and the hotel costs shouldn't be rolled into the greens fees, especially when you only want to play golf. It is well maintained and in great shape. #18 is an ugly hole, but otherwise the course has some nice holes. I will definitely play here again.

I've played this course several times about 9 years ago when I first learned to play. Seemed to remember it as a very easy course, so I haven't played it now that I'm much better. But this course is subtly challenging with some tight fairways, hills, slopes, and trees here and there, and bunkers and water. It is certainly challenging enough for a decent golfer, very challenging playing the north/south combination. It is very well maintained, they have starters on each 9 hole 1st tee and on the course. I will certainly play again because its a fun course and challenging to play. It has a great log cabin pro shop/dining area.

I really liked the look and setup of this course. It reminds me of courses in the south with a few marshes on some holes. And a tiny bit of southern California with the elevation changes and houses around the course. Houses really don't come into play, which is good. It's well maintained. It is a little bit short from the white tees. But definitely will play again.

You can tell this course used to be a nice course, but was neglected and went downhill. Probably lost memberships as most private or ex-private courses have. But it has potential with some TLC. Noticed some dirt bald spots between holes that need work. A few bunkers have grass growing in them. Fairways and greens were in good shape. Some scenic holes and nice layout. Holes 9 and 18 are kind of on top of each other. Golfers on the tee box on 9 have to look out for golfers on 18 as they can get hit. The course was recently purchased by Pittsburgh National, and if they fix it like they did with Pittsburgh National, it will be a very nice course. I'll give it 3 stars for now, could be 4 very soon with some maintenance and food options. I would definitely play this again for under $30.

I liked the course when I first walked around the putting green. Course is in excellent shape and the fairways were cut nice and the greens were fast, in excellent shape, and rolled true. Scenic course, especially on the back nine. Wooded with tight fairways on the back, with plenty of uphill and downhill holes throughout the course. Challenging but not too challenging. Will play again.

This course is great for beginners. The fairways and greens are forgiving, it has some nice holes like all other courses, and it's well maintained. Probably not for the advanced golfer, as it might not be challenging enough. But still a fun course and I will play it again, still fun while I played through the rain. The facilities are a little in disrepair, it has a swimming pool on the premises that is mostly drained and has stuff growing in it.

The course plays short but will punish you if you aren't hitting them straight. The fairways are tight on most holes and require you to hit targets on several holes. It's fun to play, especially when you are hitting them straight as you can rack up pars, but if you are not, you are chipping out to the fairway on most holes.

This course had a nice layout, but it seemed like it needed some maintenance touches. A few bare spots and brown spots on the course. Greens were a little slow. Of the three courses I played in Hilton Head, this one was #3. I may or may not play it again my next trip to Hilton Head.
