Beautiful Course

A friend and I played Dudsbury earlier this week for the first time. We were both thoroughly impressed with the course conditions and layout. It's a challenging course without being impossible for higher handicap golfers. The fairways are generous in size but there are plenty of elevation changes and the greens are fast, meaning that you have to think about each shot carefully.

I would definitely recommend Dudsbury to any friends and family and would rate it as one of the best courses I've played in the Bournemouth area.

Course in lovely condition

I don't play Moors Valley course very often, but playing it yesterday made me realise I ought to. The course is in great condition at the moment, the greens are fast but true, the holes are varied and interesting, and it's not an easy course, it takes a bit of thinking to plot your way around.

Me and a friend teed off at half five in the afternoon so by that time the course was almost empty. We only saw one other group out on the course, so pace of play was really down to how quickly we played. The only negative was that the clubhouse was shut by this time in the evening so we couldn't get a scorecard. It wasn't the biggest deal though because I was able to mark the scores on my phone.

Great value for money

I've played the bridge course at playgolf Bournemouth numerous times and like the course a lot. It's not the most difficult or spectacular course, but it does have some good variation and is fun for all handicaps. At £11 for a hot deal on teeofftimes I really can't complain, it's very good value.

The course also has a big driving range - probably the best in the local area - and a nice cafe serving a good selection of food and drinks. My only complaints would be that a few of the electronic driving bays are faulty, and some of the rough could do with being a bit shorter. It's frustrating and slows down play when a very slightly mishit tee shot gets lost in thick rough.
