Peridia Golf & Country Club
Played On 04/21/2023It is what it is
Good condition particularly for this time of year ( lots of play, little rain). Short courses typically draw the duffers and women, both of whom can slow play but we were fortunate to not have anyone in front of us. Take your chances.

Played On 11/18/2022Nice course, poor golf pro/manager
The course management might want to review the behavior of the pro shop manager. While the staff was friendly and cordial, whoever the manager (pro?) is now leaves a lot to be improved. He was very disrespectful to our group who didn’t know stopping for a drink between 9’s was unacceptable and insisted we not continue our round after we did that. Fortunately, the starter realized we could go off the back without interrupting the flow or delaying anyone.
The Highlands Golf Course
Played On 05/11/2022Better than other review imply
Having read recent reviews, we were not expecting conditions as good as we found. The greens are generally excellent, bunkers well maintained, fairways thin but we’re just cut and every tee box except one was very good.
The Preserve Golf Club
Played On 04/19/2022Not bad; not good
I was hoping for better given the recent purchase and planned improvements. While the course is playable, it’s obvious more needs to be done. The greens are rough with bare spots and damage, the fairways are thin and the tee boxes are like a child’s sand box. The course design is excellent. Too bad conditions diminish the experience.

Stop with the silly "how was your round" solicitations sent to me BEFORE we even play.
Bent Tree Country Club
Played On 02/24/2021Good layout, excellent greens,
Overall course condition is good. Some tees in pretty bad shape. Greens and aprons in excellent condition. Too bad some people can’t be bothered to repair ball marks.
Esplanade at Azario Lakewood Ranch
Played On 09/15/2020Excellent
Among the best courses in the area. What makes this somewhat unique is the undulating greens which dictate what side of the fairway to favor as well as the green target. Big fairways and big greens are very forgiving for the average golfer.

Among if not the best course around. It’s all about the greens and approach shots.
Thank you for the kind words. Our staff works diligently to make certain we offer a "VIP" experience which allows our guest to enjoy the golf course even more.
Look forward to seeing you again.

Terra Ceia Bay Golf & Tennis Club
Played On 08/27/2020Terrible condition
The greens were aerated bu that’s common this time of year and isn’t a problem. What is problematic is the overall condition:
Weeds on greens
Tee boxes devoid of grass and what grass exists is like the rough and not flat
Bunkers are devoid of sand but abundant in grass and weed growth.
Peridia Golf & Country Club
Played On 04/25/2018Very good condition
To state the obvious, this is a very short course which is good and bad. Good for the short hitters but frustrating for many who prefer to hit driver on par 4s and can easily reach the green. Consequently, our group was forced to wait on all of them while the sometimes agonizingly slow types cleared the greens. In this respect, it's a good thing there are only a few longer holes.
More importantly, the greens keepers do an excellent job. The bunkers are soft and fluffy as they should be, the fairways are healthy which is no small feat in the dry season and the greens are excellent. If you miss a putt, it's your fault, not the grass.
A good choice for a quick round on a hot day when brevity is important.

Played On 07/26/2017Recently aerated
Called before making tee time to ensure greens were good and not aerated. Pro shop told me they were " in great shape" but "a little slow".
Guess what? They were slow all right and full of sand after a recent aeration.
I probably would still play but a little honesty would have been appreciated.
Guess I shouldn't complain considering it cost only $29 which included 2 beers and lunch.

Played On 02/14/2017Huge improvement
Haven't played Greenfield in some time as we were disappointed in the condition of the fairways and greens but very glad we gave it another chance. We all agreed the course has never been in better condition. I've been fortunate to play some of the best courses around here and Greenfield compares very favorably.
The greens were in excellent condition, held well and were reasonably fast. Even the bunkers were good with more sand under the ball than most.
We'll be returning here more often.

Played On 11/01/2016Surprisingly good executive course
Played with a couple of friends who don't like 'regulation' courses and was surprised at the condition. The fairways and tees were lush grass, the greens were true and almost perfect and the bunkers played predictably with a good layer of sand. We also noticed lots of maintenance crew indicating they want to keep up the conditions.
For a short course, it was very enjoyable. Most of the par 4s, of which there are a few, are reachable by a good golfer making for some fun.
So glad you had an enjoyable experience while golfing with us! Our maintenance team works hard to keep the course in the best condition possible. We appreciate the 4 stars and hope to have you back soon!
The Links at Greenfield Plantation
Played On 05/11/2016Like a downhill puitt - me cautious
The greens are in pretty poor condition. Lots of bare spots, inconsistent speed and lots of bumps making it difficult and very frustrating. The fairways and tee boxes are typical of most courses particularly this time of year - wet and lacking a decent grass layer.
This is one of our 'go-to' courses in winter but is suffering more so now than others due to the heat and lack of rain.
Thanks for the feedback. We were aerating and transitioning to summer grass when you played. Everything is growing in very nicely now. Your next visit should be a pleasant one.
The Preserve Golf Club
Played On 05/09/2016Greens are the highlight or not depending on preference
Course condition is above average for this time of year. What is noteworthy if you are not already familiar with this course is the dwarf grass on the greens making them very fast but true.
NOTE - Was informed they will be aerating the greens on May 29 so you may not want to play immediately after that date
The feedback is much appreciated. Can't agree more with you that ball position off the tee plays a factor on attacking these greens.
Look forward to having you back when greens are a bit faster.
