A great day for golf. I was a little concerned after reading a fair amount of reviews stating issues with the staff. The welcome desk, the starter, and the one ranger I saw were all super nice to me. I enjoyed the course layout and would definitely play there again. My only issue is that there were two walking foursomes in front of us and a walking foursome behind us. We had to wait at every hole. There really aren't any "off course amenities". But that isn't an issue for me.

A partly sunny 65 degree day! A little wind. Because of the time of year, you can expect some mushy ground, some hard ground, and some brown grass. This was my first time here, and first time playing this early in the year in NJ. (just got back from 4 months in FL). I rally enjoyed the layout and variety. Most of the greens were loaded with sand, making putting very bumpy. I will give this course another go in late May / early June and see if it's better.

From what a some reviews say, I would say that what Eagle Lakes lacks in maintenance, it more than makes up for in course layout and staff. Plenty of tee box choices for different skill levels. Very friendly staff from bag drop to turn in. Don't let any review scare you off. For a busy Sunday afternoon, we got in 18 in 4 hours and enjoyed. I will definitely return and highly recommend Eagle Lakes & club pro Justin Rountree.

If you want to work on your short game, this is the place to do so. It is basically two 9 hole executive courses. Since my golf game needs all the help it can get, I did enjoy my time here and would return. Many tee boxes are close to the previous greens, so with the multiple under 150 par three's, you will find yourself not just waiting for the couple or group ahead to finish their green, but also start their next hole. We finished in 3 hours, but you could easily get in 18 in about 2 1/2 if there were no one in front.

What this course lacks in length, it more than makes up for in water difficulty. A lot of my golf balls went snorkeling! A hot windy day took nothing away from a great time here. Very friendly/helpful staff. Will definitely be back.

Overall Arrowhead is in very good shape for a public course. Also a good variety of holes with varying degrees of difficulty. The only downside was that it was a Saturday, so it did take 5 hours to play all 18. I would definitely play there again. Only next time I'll play on a weekday.

Very friendly staff, nice layout. 65 and sunny, played 18 in just over 3 1/2 hours. Roll on the greens was OK, fairways have a lot of rough grass, so very little roll on the fairways. At $45, value for the money I would consider very good, so I would definitely play again.

First time playing Preakness Valley G.C. (West Course). I enjoyed the layout and would definitely play there again. I had read the review about the slow pace of play and it was absolutely true. They need to increase the timing from 8 to at least 10 minutes apart. The foursome in front of us had one walker causing a backup on 75% of the holes. We would have been better off going past them on the back nine. But instead hurried our greens play to accommodate the people behind us . Otherwise I would given this course 4 stars.

Perfect golf day, Sunny, light breeze, low humidity. OK, I read the reviews. The course isn't perfect, ,but neither is my generous 99 score avg. If I paid full price, maybe i'd be a little more picky, but a half price with a cart, I was more than satisfied. Yes the fairways and tee boxes could use some TLC and there was some left over soggy spots from heavy rain 2 days prior. The greens are in very good shape and the staff was friendly. Overall I had a very good round and I will play there again.

This 9 hole course is very new and it was my first time there. It was well worth the very busy traffic getting there to play, which is the main reason I say "not so great area". That being said, the day before 4th of July was a crowded hot day, but there was a nice breeze and the starter does an excellent job getting you out in a manner that the pace moved along very well with minimal backups. I'd call 2 hours and 10 minutes very good for a busy day. For a 9 hole in a tight spot I was surprised at how well they fit the very nice variety and challenging holes. Skyway is like an oasis in the industrial trucking section of Jersey City. I played again the following week and will definitely play more in the very near future..

1st time playing in Florida, being from the NY area where courses usually have plenty of hills, I forgot how flat Florida is! Otherwise, I would definitely recommend this course. All areas are very well maintained. Also a memorable day as there was an 8 foot gator hanging out at hole 13 right in the tee box!
