Had a 2 pm tee time & could only manage 14 holes before carts were called in at 5:24. Play was too slow until about hole 8, marshals began asking slower foursomes to play faster as a courtesy. There was some
issues with my playing group and I had to find a twosome two holes up to play the course. Not handled smoothly. No issues with the course, as always, in great shape. I appreciate the free practice balls for their very satisfactory driving range.

I have played this course many times over the last 10 years more than 20 times and I have never been disappointed with its condition and its facilities. The driving range is well designed with good targets for warming up before a round or just to work on your swing game. Staff are friendly and helpful, and I like the free range balls. Greens and fairways can be a little tricky, but they are always in prime condition year-round. You will enjoy some difficult hole layouts as well as some of the best views of par 4s and 5s in the Hill Country around Georgetown. Top notch for Austin area public courses. Enjoy yourself.

Played On 05/29/2016Wow, what a treat to play
The course was enjoyable and in great shape for playing. Sand traps were a little hard packed making for difficult to control sand shots. Check ahead of time if you reserve through Golfnow, as some confusion over getting the free breakfast through Golfnow. They made some adjustments to the reservation to make sure we got the breakfast included at no extra charge. Good practice areas. Course is fairly easy to moderate, and a little long from the white tees. greens are moderate speed, with some undulations and multi-levels featured on only a few. Enjoy
Cowan Creek Golf Course
Played On 10/19/2012Good course with interesting holes to play
Pace of play was a little slow, with no marshalling of pace. There are not many distance markers to go by, and no GPS system on the carts. Staff were friendly and helpful. The best part is the condition of the course overall, quite good. This course has a lot of residential street and boulevard crossings, so some caution is needed. Good practice range, and I appreciated the cooler and ice available on the cart.
