Played On 04/17/2022Super course, lots of bunkers, terrific value for money!
I really enjoyed playing here and I will certainly return.
There is plenty of water and LOTS of bunkers - I genuinely don't think I've ever played anywhere with so many. I probably got more bunker practice than ever!
My only small criticism would be that there was no course guide available.
On a course with numerous holes where the flag is not visible from the tee this made for extra difficulty.
It also meant that it was hard to get a feel for the overall layout of the course, and it wasn’t always obvious where the next tee was.
However, all that being said, I had a thoroughly enjoyable round and I will definitely return at the earliest opportunity.

This is my third time playing here and it's a course that I intend to come back to.
On a very busy bank holiday, the pace of play was pretty reasonable, with only one or two idiots in buggies who seem to think that they don't need to wait, despite the fact that it was pretty obvious that we we were waiting for the players in front to clear the fairway or green.
Only negative about the course itself was that some of the tees and the fairways appeared not to have been cut for a couple of days.
Overall, terrific value for a course where every hole offers a unique challenge.

Played On 04/06/2021Lovely links style experience - some course reconstruction going on
A lovely gem of a course, featuring 18 very different and individually challenging holes on a links style layout.
Only slight issue was that there was some reconstruction going on on some holes, particularly 17, but I imagine it will look fantastic when it's completed.
Overall, fabulous value, I strongly recommend it.

Played On 10/20/2020Lovely links style experience - greens need improvement
A pleasantly challenging, links style course with some very attractive holes plus the signature 8th hole, a lovely island green par 3.
Tee to green the course was pretty well maintained (although a number of bunkers were full of water) but the greens, by and large were in pretty poor condition and very heavily sanded.
A few issues with slow play from the groups ahead of us, which towards the end of the round, led to a group of lady golfers skipping a couple of holes and going past us, because they were fearing for their safety after being 'bombed' by a very impatient solo golfer behind them.
A nice discovery for us, and good value for money, we will definitely play there again.
Stapleford Abbotts Golf Club - Abbotts Course
Played On 09/10/2020Good course with some interesting and challenging holes
Overall a pretty good course with a good mix of holes. Condition is pretty good, although some of the tee boxes could perhaps use a little maintenance during the day.
The only real issue we had was groups of people from the gym and/or fitness facility on site running across the 18th fairway as we were coming down. Which is distracting at best and dangerous at worst.
