Twin Brooks Golf Course
Played On 07/20/2014Nice!
I'm originally from this town, but never actually played the course. We didn't get a hot deal on Golf Now, so it was $20 for 9/cart.
The greens were in excellent shape. A little slow, but consistent. It was a little wet from the morning so they didn't get a chance to mow. The fairways were a little tough to see, but acceptable. There really isn't any "rough", so a miss won't really get you in to trouble (on the front 9 anyway), which is good! The tee boxes were in good shape and there were plenty of ball washers. There is a putting green and a driving range.
A good value at regular prices, but a steal for a hot deal for sure!
Meridian Sun Golf Club
Played On 06/21/2014Indifferent
Meridian Sun is worth it when you can get a Hot Deal on golf now for less than a $1 a hole. The course tends to be all over the place as far as conditions go. Some holes are just fine while others need some work. There really isn't any rough but it's also hard to tell where the fairway ends or actually is. If you are looking to get some practice in or just looking for a cheap place to play to have a little fun, Meridian Sun is your place.
Royal Scot Golf Course - #1
Played On 06/14/2014A Tale of Two's
Royal Scot offers a unique experience. Holes 1-5 are part of their "normal" holes. The fairways and greens are in good shape! Greens roll true. Nothing too out of the ordinary. However, holes 6-14 are on a whole different realm. 6-14 are a little more like links style. Everything from the tee boxes to the rough are in fantastic shape. Their beautiful holes. 15-18 are back to what 1-5 are. Holes 6-14 are worth the price of admission alone...if you get a deal on GolfNow.
Marysville Golf Club
Played On 8/25/2013Great course to have good time
The course isn't in the best of conditions. Some of the tee boxes could use a little work. A handful of the fairways could also use some work. The greens are inconsistent in speed and some could use a little maintenance. Also, some of the holes are oddly designed. You'll have to play it to see what I am talking about. Overall though, if you can find a Hot Deal for this course, have at it. You'll get your moneys worth. Much better than it's neighbor, Timberview!
Darby Creek Golf Course
Played On 8/23/2013Excellent!
Darby Creek is a great gem in the Columbus area. The tee boxes are in great shape and the fairways are cut well and well maintained. The greens can be a bit challenging if one is not used to faster greens (I am not). Overall, everything is in fine shape and for a Hot Deal on Golf Now, I'd play this course all day.
Highland Hills Golf Club
Played On 6/14/2013You Get What You Pay For
It was $20 to play 18 w/cart. Knowing this, I wasn't expecting much with the course. The conditions were OK. It's pretty wide open. The greens were in pretty good shape actually. Not really any true rough. This is a great course for mid-to-high handicappers.
Woodside Golf Course
Played On 6/4/2013Excellent 9-Hole!
It's only 9 holes but numerous holes can be challenging if playing from the blue tees. The staff is friendly. It's maintained very well. It's 1 of 4 courses part of the Hawk Hollow properties. It's cheap, especially if booking on here or if waiting till twilight rates.
Tree Links Golf Club
Played On 6/3/2013Elevation? A lot!
This course has the most elevation changes in Ohio. It's difficult to play the first time through. It'll make you change your selection often. Some of the course conditions could have been improved slightly but for the price, can't beat it!
Falcon Golf Course
Played On 5/30/2013Excellent 9-Hole!
This is a nine hole course. It's in great condition at all times of the year. Not real challenging but great if looking to improve short game. Also, can't beat the price!
