Greens were great. The rest of the course is very dry and hard. Couldn't get the tee in the ground and used a broken tee found nearby several times. They have planted LOTS of trees and they are side by side. Literally 3 oak tress planted within 10 feet. A little strange, and made for some penalty strokes in our group. But if you know they're there you would avoid the next time. Always liked the layout here.

Forgot how tricky this course is to play. A great test - you can hit driver more often than it looks like you should if you use a golf app to navigate your way around. Green elevations usually needed a half a club more than you think. Everything was in great shape and the greens rolled true. The rakes are back out - but didn't seem like anybody was using them. No beverage cart out on the course over lunch time on Sunday. Really? Anyway - great day and will save a sleeve of balls next time knowing where to hit it!
Knollwood Golf Club - Old
Played On 07/23/2021Great round of golf
Course in great shape. They paired us with two other players and we all enjoyed it. Food and drink is bought through the pro shop. With only one allowed in at a time that’s a little bit slow and rushed. Bev cart was out and that was fine. Will go back.

Always a great value. 30 degrees and humid and no beverage cart. The 2 groups in front of us took 5 1/2 hours to play (they were very amateur golfers) and there was no marshal. Advised the starter at the turn and he informed us there was nothing he could do as there''s nobody else out but him. Didn't help when they served the guys in front of us 4 tall boys each at the turn. Patio was hopping after our round - which is good to see for them, but clearly that's were the f&b staff were assigned for the day. With no water avail on the course you HAVE to have a bev cart circulating.
Course in great shape. 40mm of rain overnight before and course was totally playable at our 9:40 tee time. A little standing water but not a problem at all.
Management needs to have the courage to run the course like a business rather than a city golf course.

Course was in great shape. Both carts in our group had issues with the parking brake but we figured it out eventually. Got paired with another 2-some who were fun to play with. Pace of play was just fine - finished in 4hr 15 mins. No muffins at the restaurant - needed some morning carbs, but the coffee was great. Lots of grass and the greens were pure but a little on the slow side, which is ok on some of the holes near the edges.
Caistorville Golf Club
Played On 11/06/2020Nice spot - enjoyable day out - golf course so-so.
This place was fun. Nobody was uptight and the overall vibe was relaxed. There are lots of holes in close proximity to other holes. You hear fore yelled a lot! Closely mowed areas around the green are basically bare dirt. Makes chipping almost impossible. We putted from everywhere. Staff were great. 4 tall boys and 2 sandwiches $40 with a great tip. Good value for golf. We played in November. Who's gonna complain about anything?
