Top 5 Course I've ever played

Ross Bridge is one of the best courses I've ever played! From the moment i arrived at the course i was greeted by the staff at the bag drop to unload my clubs and point me in the direction of the proshop. Once I got checked in i headed over to the practice area to get a feel for the greens and hit some chips and bunker shots, unfortunately the driving range is closed for maintenance on Tuesdays. The layout is spectacular! It brings water and fairway bunkers into play off most of the tee boxes but also gives you options to either challenge the hazards and reap the rewards of a short approach or play short and have a longer second. I also liked that there were alot of options as far as tees to play from because my group had two mid handicap guys in it and the tips stretch out to 8100 yards. The condition from tee to green was immaculate. My favorite part of the course was the bent greens that were rolling between 10-12 and put a premium on hitting the right part of the green with all of the ridges and shelves. I thoroughly enjoyed playing the course and will definitely be back.

Favorite course in the Atlanta area

Echelon is a top notch facility in every way! The moment you pull into the course the staff are waiting at the bag drop to load your clubs on a cart. After you get checked in you can utilize the practice facility that is on the same level or even a step above some of the best private clubs in the area. The Rees jones design is a shot makers paradise! The fairways are really wide but the layout is so hilly that 90% of your 2nd shots the ball is going to be slightly above or below your feet. I thought the front nine played easier than the back due to the forgiveness off the tee and large collection areas if you miss a green or two. The condition of the course from the tightly mowed fairways, thick rough, and fast bent greens makes this an amazing experience that will keep you coming back for more. My favorite two holes are numbers are the par 5 7th that is reachable in two and #13 a downhill slight dogleg right par 4 that you can really go after off the tee.

Gem of a Course

I got a late afternoon tee time so i could play alone to take my time and thoroughly enjoy the course because of the high priced greens fees and man was it worth every penny. The conditioning of this golf course was pristine! The grounds crew does a fantastic job maintaining the course from tee to green down to the smallest detail. Off the tee the course is pretty straight forward and forgiving, the challenge lies in your approach shots into massive greens that were rolling around a 10 or 11 if i had to guess. The 3rd hole is by far the most demanding par 3 because of the marsh on the left and tree line on the right side of the green and it forces you to hit long iron, hybrid, or 3 wood depending on what tees you're playing and the wind. My favorite hole is by far the short par 5 that plays toward the scenic Savannah bridge. The green is reachable in two if you hit a solid tee shot at the right edge of the left fairway bunker leaving anywhere from 180 to 200. Definite eagle opportunity!
I loved the course and will be returning next time i'm in the area. Its absolutely a must play regardless of skill level if you're in Savannah and want to treat yourself to a top class golf experience.
