Course didn’t live up to the reviews that I had read. In comparison with other courses we have played whilst on vacation the layout was simply boring. Some of the holes that were parallel to one another felt like you were playing in one big field. Rack rate is $35 which is about right. Fairways were in decent condition but the tees were overgrown and made it difficult to know how far down to place your tee. Greens were true but pretty slow. Staff were friendly and the hot dog at the turn was excellent. Course lacks investment. Wouldn’t go back even for only $35.

Unfortunately we played this course the day after a 24 hours of constant rain. In my opinion the club should have given players the opportunity to cancel thus receiving a full refund or to continue playing with the full knowledge of the 90 degree cart rule with lift and place. The check in desk gave us no indication of just how wet the course was. Also the starter sent out an individual player to meet us on the first fairway. Where we come from, Scotland, this sort of behaviour by the starter would be deemed highly inappropriate and unacceptable.
The course is truly magnificent, one which I would highly recommend and love to play again. Staff however at the check in were totally disinterested, not good enough.

The look and feel of this course is like a step back in time from a positive perspective. The front 9 was however in rather poor condition, the fairways were scrubby, bunkers lacked sand and the greens were like treacle. Back 9 was in much better condition generally but greens still on the slow side. Didn’t like the rather aggressive squirrels, never seen anything that looked like them or behaved like them. Do not leave any food outside your cool box or I think they would follow you round the course.
Clubhouse very basic didn’t contemplate staying for a drink. Staff were friendly. We only paid $40 for 2 golfers so good value, would not want to pay more. Didn’t use the range but it looked like a good facility.
