Course needs so much work to be playable. Understand that this course was built in a drainage valley so maintaining it is difficult to say the least and it is narrow. Add to that it is the only 18 hole option to play public golf in the area of North Orange County and that most of the golfers are beginning level and don’t understand how to maintain course conditions by fixing ball marks on greens and filling Fairway divots with sand and not staying on the card pass when required and you get very poor conditions, especially after rains as many of the fairways drain slower than molasses. if you’re desperate to play golf and want a slow experience with beginning golfers, constantly losing balls due to the narrow Fairways which created overall poor experience this is your place. More marshals are needed for sure to elevate the level of this dumpster fire

Good variety of hole designs with lakes and dog legs. 2 par threes on front nine are exactly the same distance. Many of the par 4s are about the same distance also. Course is an a decent condition. And the greens are relatively good if not a little bumpy. The main problem with the course issues is because people don’t stay on the cart paths and often drive right up to the green. Listen cart drivers stay on the freaking card paths!! Often golfers miss the greens and with the grass dead or thin just off the greens chip shots result in too many bad lies. It would help if there was a Marshall on this course to persuade lazy golfers from driving all over the course when it isn’t necessary. I never saw a Marshall all day long to keep cart drivers off sensitive areas around the greens.

So many holes to break an ankle. Too wet on the front nine. Golfers please stop feeding the squirrels. Fun target layout. No need for the Driver.

fun track. But the overly aggressive sanding of the greens diminished the quality of the course that day. The sand is not fine Florida gulf coast size grains but really course stuff that affects putts.

Better than last year in all aspects. Good greens, good fairways except hole 9, which needs the fairway redone. Fun layout with a some challenging holes and generouswidth fairways. Tee boxes need more care. Laura the beverage cart lass is terrific. Nice clubhouse and bar. Lots of new homes being build on course so it must get better to maintain property values.

Have not played at Bear Creek in many years. But this used to be one of the best daily fee courses in the metroplex.
We played the East Course. Both courses are well designed and beautiful layouts in an area near DFW airport (if you like jet airliners this is your spot!) with topography, creeks, abundant trees and wildlife. The staff is friendly and the course gets lots of play. Traps and tee boxes could use some work and concrete cart paths are in serious need of repair - lots of broken patches (many due to adjacent tree roots but many not), Our biggest issue (an immediate fix) is the complete LACK of signs to PROTECT the integrity of the course. Listen up management; 1.you need signs well in front of greens to direct carts BACK to cart paths (EVERY other course has these - why not BC?) 2. it was supposed to be a 90 degree rule today after heavy rains, where are those signs??, 3. Where is the starter? 4. Where is the marshall(s)? 4. Why let golfers bring giant coolers onto course, cant be good for the hard working cart girls or BC profiting from them selling beverages and food. Course WAS a gem, work a bit to make nice again.

Course is a fun layout with doglegs and water features. Some drainage issues that need to be addressed but there has been lots of rain lately. Sand traps not raked for a few days at least and need to be repaired after spring rains. Greens rolled well but area right around the cup on many holes had the "anthill" effect (common on public courses) due to newly made holes not being rolled after inserting the cup. Please roll the cup areas, putting is hard enough without having to putt into a 3 inch radius.

Fun course design in good shape but degraded by idiot golfers that dont adhere to common sense of cart use and fairway divot repair. Come'on! keep the cart ON the cart paths around tees and greens! Why do cart drivers insist on pulling the cart onto the grass in these areas? It just wrecks the course especially when wet. Get a clue!

Fun resort layout with wide fairways, strategic water and trap placement. Good variety of hole shapes. Very smooth greens. Some issues with soggy fairways especially #18. Entire staff was professional and nice. Parking is free but a bit of a cluster. Overall a great day of golf.
