Currently course is in amazing condition. The over seeding in the fall certainly helped. Played in the mid afternoon, front 9 was great, back 9 way too slow. When we teed off, started commented about a slow group and we joked hopefully there is a ranger on the course. Many times there were 3 groups on a hole and we were the middle group. Never saw a ranger. However we still finished in 4 hours and 15 minutes.

Course was ok. Some of the greens could use a bit of TLC. Stayed for lunch but food was at best average. Suggest playing the course but going elsewhere for a bite to eat.

Unfortunately it was a very wet and windy day, but we knew what we were getting into when we arrived at the course. Layout is great, starter and cart men were very friendly and the Brickyard Pub was excellent. Looking forward to coming back when not so wet.

The course has really been receptive to the over seeding done this past fall. It was a great day playing with friends. Greens in excellent condition and pace of play very good as well.

Always a pleasure to play Old South. Conditions have gotten better each year. Staff was excellent and was able to accommodate a reservation snafu. THANK YOU!

Really love the course layout. Just unfortunate it is not maintained very well. The fairways looked they hadn't been mowed in quite some time. We started to refer to it as "fairway rough". I will say it is slightly better than the last time we played but has a long way to go. I played with my niece who is a high handicap and for the value it was fine for her. I will say I called before I booked and the pro-shop was honest. But right now if you are a good golfer, I'd stay away until the course has more TLC.

I always enjoy playing Golden Bear when I am on Hilton Head Island. I had friends staying with me and it was their first time on the island. I wanted to share the beautiful course with them as well. I was surprised to see the conditions of the greens. It had appeared they were almost filled in after aeration, however it looked as though they had not been cut/rolled and the pins not changed for the day's play. That was disappointing to me, given the layout is so nice. I also felt the person who checked me in could have been friendlier, perhaps he was having a bad day. Hopefully this feedback will be used to improve the course for the next time I want to play. I will certainly call before I book. Thank you

Course was in great condition. Pace of play was excellent. We were paired up with another twosome. Several times ranger stopped to ask how things were going and share information regarding groups ahead of us.

I truly love the layout of this course. It is definitely challenging and different than many on and off Hilton Head Island. The greens were in pretty good shape, however, the bunkers and areas up and near the green really do need some TLC. I feel for the price paid, which included some discounting unfortunately there are better conditioned courses on the island. Hoping to see improvements come this spring.

Nice course and layout. Greens in good condition. It is obvious the course is being worked on with patching of sod. Areas around greens and green side bunkers need a bit of work. Would have been nice if it was over seeded in the Fall

Course has a great layout. Conditions are getting increasingly better each time I play the course. Met a new friend who was paired up with our threesome. All in all a very good day

Course conditions really good. Best we have played this last week of October. Course was FULL, double cross overs on both morning and afternoon, took us almost 5 hours to play 18 holes.

Very pleased with the course. I had booked my round via GolfNow and received an email communication that the course was over seeding for the Winter and it would be cart path only. I was pleasantly surprised to receive this communication and not find out when I arrived at the course. I had the option to cancel or change my reservations which I was very pleased to hear. We played and although it was a bit slow, the course was really well manicured and the workers were doing improvements everyone I looked.

I have played Eagle's Pointe several times. Loved the layout and the level of difficulty for a mid-teens handicapper. I was pretty disappointed in the conditions today. We booked via a deal time rate, but even then I felt is was over priced for the condition of the course. Extremely wet, car path only, many many bare spots in the fairway, tee boxes not mowed, greens were in tough condition, the traps that didn't have puddles of water weren't really playable either. Sad, not sure I will go back and definitely not recommend to anyone.

Greens much better than previous times played. Restaurant wasn't opened due to COVID., but beverage cart was out on course. Starter could have been a bit more informative as I was a single being hooked up with a group as well as a women

Really enjoy playing this course for the value. It's fairly new and trees need to grow in, but wide fairways make this course nice to play especially on a day where you are not straight off the tee!

Course was over seeded a few weeks ago so it was cart path only. That created a bit of slow down to the round, but everything was nice.

Best condition it's been in in a very long while. Only problem was restaurant wasn't open. But all good on every other front. Nice job repairing the greens
