Desert Willow Golf Course
Played On 04/03/2014They cram groups in too tightly, and the course has several short holes
We were on time to tee off, to find a group of four still there and one barely ahead of them. Another twosome following us was paired up with up to pull up the slack, and we still had golfers on our tail the whole time. Everyone adjusted their timing, I'm sure, but at one point I could see five holes, all with golfers--hectic. The holes were also rather short--we did 18 holes--with few long fairways and little rough. The sand bunkers were easy enough to avoid, and little water, like most of Las Vegas golf. A bit too easy for me, and I'm NOT good. Again, it was surrounded by residences, not scenic like in their web site pictures. Those must have been old pictures, pre-construction.
Cloud 9 at Angel Park Golf Club
Played On 03/31/2014Cloud Nine is a challenging par-3 course
We selected this par-3 as part of a week of golfing Las Vegas. I enjoyed the hills, ravines, water (including waterfalls) and sand traps. It really challenged me; but my husband didn't like the uphill/downhill too much. Beware that if you plan to walk it, they have very few handcarts. We ended up driving, probably easier on us anyway. It was well maintained with new scenery around every bend and views of the mountains. One of the few courses not embedded in residences. There were baby bunnies everywhere. Even with good wind, we had a great time.
Los Prados Golf Course
Played On 03/31/2014Challenging for novel players, but not scenic
My husband and I enjoyed this course. We are in our 50s and do not get out as much as some, but on vacation we golfed several courses in Las Vegas this week. Los Prados was a great course with varied holes, challenges, and well maintained. Only drawback was that it was surrounded by housing.
