One of the Best Conditions on the Central Coast. Tee-Boxes, Fairways, Fringe and Greens in great shape.

Extremely beautiful golf course, with plush fairways and immaculate greens. Always a destination we love to visit for our favorite sport. Hitting down #15 and gearing up for the challenging 3-Par #16 are two holes we particularly LOVE.

Very disappointed to find one of our favorite courses looking so poorly kept. Cart Guy said they couldn't get landscaping help. While the Fairways and Greens were good, the cart paths, rough areas and fringes were littered with debris, some trash, sand and water covered paths. We took into consideration, the recent sand storms, but it was clear that the ongoing maintenance was not being done. It was enough to make us not go again, having been a regular for over 15 years.

Having not played this course for a few years, we opted to play it, to see if was worth the cost, which is lower rate than the North Course.

The Greens were very good, and the short rough around them, and the fairways about average, but the sand pits were 80% hard dirt, and the fringe inside and around them, filled with weeds and grasses that prevented swinging in them.

When we tried to take our cart after the Front, back to the Club House to buy some Beer (the Snack Bar was NOT open) at the Turn.......they had the carts programmed to NOT allow you to do that. VERY Disappointing.

We won't be playing it again.

Have played Gary Player Course many times, but this day, discovered the Carts in need of replacement, tears in seats, rattle when driving. No Staff at the small take out food available. No Cups at the water on course dispensers. Water flooding on at least 4 of the cart paths to avoid.

Very disappointing day.

Best Course in the Central Coast Area. Others just don't compare.

The Course Management has decided we don't need water or trash cans. If you plan to play on a HOT day, be sure to bring enough water. The excuse I was given was that the "Homeless People" steal the water jugs, therefore they have decide4d NOT to replace them after Covid.

Too bad. I like the Course when the weather is cool enough, but this will change my decision to play there.

Putting is difficult on the greens and fringe.

Always one of my favorites to play, but this time it was disappointing.

Normally have a good experience playing here, but as a GOLFNOW customer, we were put BEHIND an "O" Match of Owners at the Oasis. We were waiting at least 5-10 minutes while 6 carts and many people were standing around watching the group on each hole ahead of us. Be sure to ASK, before booking, if there is a Tournament ahead of you. A disappointing day for sure.

Seems like almost EVERY HOLE you have water play. Course Layout and spectacular views wherever you look.

Only reason for a 4-Star and NOT a 5....are the "Course Amenities" ( Lack of a nice Clubhouse)

But OVERALL....a fun and beautiful course to play..

Many Holes were Cart Path Only.’
Cart Path diversions on other holes were many, many yards from the green, requiring walking to your ball far from the Greens, almost as bad as cart part only.

While the course is very well maintained, it will not be in our list for the future on a HOT DAY.

During this "Virus" outbreak.....having the ability to get out to a Course and play golf was the highlight of my day and WEEK. The Staff was working diligently to ensure our safety by wiping off the carts and staying at the required distance. The opportunity to be in an open air environment and playing the sport I love was appreciated and won't be forgotten.

Couldn't ask for a better course to perfect my Short Game. Beautiful Fairways and Greens, Water Play and Pace. A favorite in the Desert.

As a Resident of Rancho Mirage, I play the Pete Dye and the Gary Player courses regularly. They are consistently in good shape with beautiful greens and well maintained rough. Traps are a little disappointing as most are now mud or dirt. Staff is courteous and helpful. The one area of concern was the restroom on #4. We were last off at 1:42PM, and when we stopped for the restroom the Ladies Restroom was very dirty. In HIGH need of cleaning. I know we were last out, but a Resort has to keep up for their guests in my opinion.

Have played this course many times, but here we were on Easter Sunday, with very few players, so the pace of play was good. But the course conditions were not. The course itself has little to be desired anymore. The off rough areas look like they haven't had maintenance of any kind for quite a while. Bare, weedy patches, and little to enjoy visually And don't get your ball off the fairway. The Fairways weren't much better, Moderate at best for play. One PLUS "sandy bunkers". They had NO WATER in the Water Bin on the course, not even the container itself.

Heard many good things about the Course. Originally didn’t want to try it for many years, just because it was a 3 Par Course. But it is extremely challenging and I will go back to work on the unique skills it takes to play this Course well. Only draw back is the Sand Traps are NOT SAND, and were hard dirt. If they get those repaired, it is a beautiful and wonderful day of play.

Disappointing Round, as the pace of play was over 5-1/2 hours. Waiting on every hole.
