Superstition Springs Golf Club
Played On 05/18/2018Summer's Here
My first time playing this course. I found it very challenging. Fairways needed more grass, but greens were fine. Water levels in ponds were low, thank God, or I would have donated more balls. If you are a first timer like me, play with someone who knows the course. You need to know when to lay up.

Played On 03/24/2018Slow Play
It was either over booking or lack of a ranger on Saturday, as it took 3 hours to play 9 holes. I left after 9, so don't know what time my group finished with their round. They need to do a shotgun!
Other than that, I thought the course was in good shape and sand traps contained fluffy sand.
Mountain Brook Golf Club
Played On 03/05/2018Well maintained
Beautiful looking course, Superstition Mountain in background, wide fairways, sandtraps in fairways to add a challenge. However, sandtraps held little sand. All the par 3's were right around the 150 yard distance(would have liked some to be a little longer). Greens added challenges with slopes. Worth another round.
Championship at Viewpoint Golf Resort
Played On 01/04/2018Tricky Putts
Course has a good layout, and is well maintained. The trick to getting a good score on this course, is making putts! Greens are fast and holes are sloped. Truly a challenge.
North Golf Course at Sun City
Played On 11/20/2017Cart path only
Surprised that there was no one on the course when we arrived at 11am for a 12 noon tee time. It may have been because it was Cart Path Only! We were allowed to tee off right away and had clear sailing for the entire round. 2 -1/2 hours for 18 holes!!( 2 players)
Course was in excellent shape.
Palmbrook Golf Club
Played On 09/18/2017Front dry, back wet
Trees guarding corners of doglegs, sloped greens, and a waterway and ponds made it a challenge for us slicers.. Fairways were cut short, but I think they were getting ready for reseeding. Long par threes. This course will definitely challenge the average golfer.
Cave Creek Golf Course
Played On 01/17/2017CCGC
Course was in great shape. Good thickness of fairway grass, but the greens were too fast. Pace of play was very slow. No Rangers out on the course----they were too busy keeping eye on driving range! REALLY!!!!!!!
McDowell Mountain Golf Club
Played On 06/27/2015Green
Course was green with no dry patches. Course offers 4 tee boxes to challenge all golfers. Desert layout provided some challenges.
Villa de Paz Golf Course
Played On 12/01/2014Dog legs and water
I have played the course 3 times and you'd think it would get easier each time. Not the case (with me, anyway). Numerous ponds guard the front of greens. You'd better layup, or pray that shot will carry. Plan on loosing a lot of balls. If you hit into the waterway that separates fairways, you best hurry to it, because the current will carry it into the ponds.
Arizona Biltmore Golf Club - Estates Course
Played On 08/25/2014Always a challenge!
Although the course is flat, there are places where you need to lay-up. It helps to play with someone who is familiar with the course. There are sand traps guarding every green; but only on the front.
Mesquite/Ironwood at Kierland Golf Club
Played On 07/15/2014Rival for TPC
Plenty of bunkers surrounding greens. Long, some narrow, fairways. A challenging course.
Riverview Golf Course
Played On 11/12/2013Over seeding
It was cart path only due to overseeding and the greens were in need of a trim.
Executive Course
A good course for tuning up your short game. Walkable.
Lookout Mountain Golf Club
Played On 9/3/2013Challenging!
For the once a week player, this course wore me down. Sand traps strategically placed around the greens, which included the backside, and desert (trees and brush) between the tee box and fairways. Also fast greens. Having played it this one time, I will be looking forward to the next.
Thank you for taking the time to review us. Your feedback is valuable, and we look forward to delivering you excellent service again soon. Cave Creek Golf Course thanks you!
