The Lakes Course at Red Hawk
Played On 02/13/2023Northern Nevada Winter Golf
It’s been a good winter for the Sierra snowpack, which means trying to squeeze in a round of golf has been especially rough this year.
Great to get out and swing a club, but disappointed that we had to deal with temporary greens, hence the low green fees

Played On 12/15/2022Came here to play from Graeagle cuz the Reno courses were also snowed in and frozen.
I like this little course. Lots of fun holes, good greens, interesting layout, makes you think and execute good shots. Unfortunately, I didn’t do that, but, when you’ve got the golf but AND cabin fever at the same time, your just happy to be out there playing!! New carts are nice, too.
I’ll be back after the next blizzard👍
The Lakes Course at Red Hawk
Played On 03/29/2022Course is shaping up nicely, but like all courses in the Northwestern Nevada area, I just don’t understand how there isn’t some decent sand in the bunkers?!?!?!….. after all, we are living in a desert……. Sounds like a business opportunity to me!!

Played On 02/17/2021Still a bit of snow in some bunkers, but I got a Sandy birdie on 17, so I’m not complaining!!
LakeRidge Golf Course
Played On 04/04/2015Good day, bad course etiquette
The course was in great shape on a great day, so it was busy.
Unfortunately, the foursome in front of us were poor golfers and would not wave us through, in spite of the fact there were two holes open ahead of them.
To top that off, they were served by the cart girl in the middle of the FIRST HOLE!!
That would be right under the nose of the starter, huh???
If a golf course wants foursomes to start every 8 or 9 minutes, then they MUST have a marshall to move players forward or aside so we can get a round in in four and a half hours!!
The Bayonet at Bayonet/Black Horse Golf Course
Played On 09/10/2014Great course
Wow!! What a gem and very reasonable.
Great placement of bunkers to bring out your "A" game. You need to think a bit about club selection.
I played the Bayonet course and can't wait to come back and try Black Horse. I play usually at 4500 feet above sea level, so had to adjust a bit for the heavy coastal air, which just adds to the challenge.
I highly recommend this course to anyone visiting the Monterey Bay.
Thank you for the awesome rating! We hope to see you again at the course very soon for another great experience, and thanks for choosing Dayton Valley Golf Club.
